New Carvin P bass, about time?

It's OK n1as. Gas never goes away anyway so why fight it? Just because you just got a new bass that doesn't mean you aren't already sweatn the next one! Right?

I know. There have been steady requests for a P pickup for quite some time from Carvin. Glad they finally made this happen. Now the P pickup just needs to be available on every model... an unlined fretless P/J Icon.... mmmm.....

Yes the pickguard is a bit off. But looks ok. I'd personally like an Icon or Lb in a P/J config,

They aren't offering the P-pickup on any other models. Already asked and answered on the Carvin boards.

People have wanted Carvin to do this for a long time. Looks pretty sweet to me.

The pickguard & shape remind me a bit of the G&L SB

I've been babying a product suggestion thread on the Carvin Forums for a couple of years on this. Along the way, I had a photoshop wizard over there do some mock ups. I figured, hey, if THEY get GAS, it just might happen. Not saying it was me or the thread, but it had to have helped a LITTLE bit. RIGHT? I held out for a reverse P but we don't have that (yet).

Here are the mock ups from the thread. My fav color currently is their discontinued electric blue metallic. Below is what they've been seeing and responding to on the Forums.

A lot of people think the SB's shape is odd, but I like it. I like this too.

I agree, since Fenders are pretty tame with their finishes. I'm a big fan of green and this Carvin is the right kind of green, like my old Cutlass Supreme.
