It took me a minute but I get it!

BTW funny story, my wife is a flute player, her Father a retired music teacher. For those of you who don't know we had a baby on Aug 2nd which was the day of the NYC GTG when I would have met Mike, well that didn't happen. So fast forward - I'm in the basement A/B ing the two heads at full volume with a pair of VL208s, shelves rattling, while my wife is breast feeding our 3 week son in the room above (no insulation in the ceiling and air ducts connecting the two rooms). While I'm reconnecting the amps my wife yells down, I didn't hear what she said so I yell up "is this bothering you and the baby, should I stop?"....She responds..."No. I Think I like the first one which one is that?"

Man I'm a lucky guy.

I'm keeping the original....The mod was a failed experiment on my part. These guys know what they're doing they don't need my help.....:rollno:

To bring us back on topic, I've tried allot of amps over the past few years and this is it when it comes to DB tone. I really don't see a need to use my AMT mic live at all. For me it's like night and day from the Focus 2R III too.

Now I am really excited to knock down some walls with the Pro when it arrives.

Yes she has 2 sister, 1 is not married 35 and single. I did get the pick of the bunch though...

My wife is on the right with the glasses, that was about two weeks before she had the baby, her sister is on the left...:eyebrow:

BTW Mike will the Pro handle a 2 ohm load as well?

Thank you! Right now the signal chain is bottle, diaper, baby wipes, nap.:bawl:

Seriously -

Electric Bass - Alleva-Coppolo LG5, KBP5 or Lakland USA JO - 10 ft. spectraflex superquad cable, occasionally if I'm on a big stage or need to tuck my rig in the corner I'll use a 20ft. superquad.

Upright - Kolstein Hybrid Bass, planet pickup - 10 ft. Monster Bass cable.

I use a EA NL210 for most electric gigs and a VL208 for most upright gigs. For really loud electric gigs I prefer to stack the VL208 on top of the NL210. Sometimes I'll use the VL208 stack if I want more of a pillowy tone. And for really small DB stuff and pit orchestras I've on occassion brought out the VL108 stack.

If I didn't have all of these cool EA cabs I'd probably pick up a pair of M Line Wizzys and be done with it.

Seriously Peter,
You need to use Tony Levin's technique for tone production. It involves placing a "unused" Pamper or something like that underneath the strings. Remember the key here is "unused". Peter Gabriel dubbed it the "Supper Nappy Wonder Bass"

The last 4 weeks of a pregnancy are way not fun. Glad you both missed them.

The short lived "were trying" period...well it's always good to get back in the saddle. We had kids in our 40's. An extremely long we're trying period. Not recommended.
