I am really hoping to find a snug fitting soft case, that way I can throw it into my stand bag or an outer pocket of my gig bag. If I use an IAMP500 bag I now get into carrying around something the size of a PRO..

Dude, I'd pay extra for that. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than annoying the jazz powers that be. Like years ago I was playing at the Chicago Jazz festival. They're really demeaning to local musicians even if they're playing with the big names. They literally sent out a memo with a suggested dress code. (this was 20 years ago) I showed up with a bright yellow and black bowling shirt ( I looked like a bumblebee) The shirt was xxxl and said the name Rita on the front. On the back it said Zwaska Funeral Home. They were pissed. I enjoyed the moment in my own immature way.

You could probably get that scanned onto some contact paper and easily put it on the front of the amp. That would be cool.

Just did it.(waiting for a bass to be made) My friend Eric Hochberg who knows me pretty well couldn't believe that I did it. 5 months of wondering if I am the world's dumbest human being. With an amp, ok you're out 800 beans but you could sell it if you don't dig it. With a bass----phew!!! Fortunately I lucked out. I've owned maybe about 20 basses in my career but the Golia was the first time I commisioned one.

Yes. To quote EA, it's fine at 2 ohms as long as you don't sit on a low B string steadily playing eighth notes for five minutes in the sun at full volume. That might overheat it (and me, too).

Trying not to put a hex on EA's usually optimistic predictions, but I was told they were picking up the metal chassis (finally ready) today and would hopefully start building and then shipping by the middle of next week.

But don't sit at your window with your nose pressed up against the glass waiting for the UPS guy just yet. When they come through the door they're here.
