New Fender Antigua models...

Cool new stuff from fender - old colors. Antigua is nice though...

Fender keeps producing overpriced MIM models imho.
They don't offer any new colours on the MIA models, keeping all the used stuff for many many years.
As a buyer, i prefer spending my money in one good bass than getting more lesser quality basses.
I would really like to see some new colours on the am. standard series.
Seriously, cut the crap Fender.

Yes we should all be enthusiastic about these new offerings from fender. Reintroducing colors that didnt sell when i was born and disco was new.

I was looking at the P......at first it made me ill. But the more I looked at it, the more I liked it! Don't know if I'm going to grab one or not - already have a 62RI P - but they ARE interesting!!

My info from Fender said they were in stock, that was last Thursday. We ordered a couple. I'd expect them end of the week hopefully. I had my eye on the Mikey Way mustang because of the sparkle and painted headstock but Antigua doesn't come around very often might have to call an audible. I'm more of a P bass guy though.

Yeah but I bet the people who own the vintage ones, and probably paid out the nose for them becuase they're rare, are glad that there's only a new Mexican version. A new American version would probably diminish the value of the vintage ones.

They are in stock at the Canadian distributer as well(according to my local store). I should see mine next week.

Bummer. The block inlays are missin',too. Dammit! Not that it'd stop me from coppin' one.

I actually don't mind the body too much, but I think I would put either a black or a white pickguard on instead.
