Im definitely interested in this bass. In the green. Love my other MIJ/CIJ Fenders, that soft poly finish on the neck feels great to me. Slap some Geezer P/J pickups, maybe some active electronics in it and have the ideal active and modern 4 string ive been thinking way too much about. Now to see if i want to place my money down on one of these....
I’m not going to rout my vintage RS924. It sounds phenomenal on just the P pickup. The J doesnt usually add much.
Fender marketing at it's best. Take an existing bass, paint it a different color and give it a new name.
$1200 for a Bass made of basswood? Pass
Reissue of one of the best basses fender ever made. How's about black and white too?

I love how they call it a Precision, when it's marked Jazz Bass Special on the headstock. 
My very first bass (that i actually bought) was a candy-apple red Jazz Bass Special...1988-89ish. Love that bass and still have it, with a few upgrades. Dropped a quarter-pounder in it (P position; should have done the J at the same time, because it sounds like crap) and added active electronics. It's a great backup. Considering swapping a fretless neck on it.

I think they were headed in a better direction with the Dimension line,, but what do I know. I've only been playing for 45 years.

I actually found out about these a couple weeks ago and was really excited about it until I found out they're made out of basswood... 
i came for a black dual slanted P and was dissapointed...I had a chance to buy one for so so cheap once and just hesitated for a minute and it was gone...much regret
Actually, the Duff seems to be a take on this one.
Should be a pretty nice bass either way you look at it. Glad they didn't do the painted neck version.

The most beautiful basses Fender ever made. Rear routing, no pickguard: heaven.
I own 4 original '84-'87 but I'd really pull the trigger on both of they'd made them with painted black neck.
