New Ford Bronco revealed!

Deja Vu. Isnt that just an International Harvester Scout?

I actually thought that second picture, like post 5 or 6, WAS as Scout. Had to enlarge the pic to see the grille.

The second picture I immediately knew was a 1st gen Bronco but I agree the 1st pic of the new one reminded me instantly of an International Scout. The second vehicle I owned (in 1974 )was a 1967 Scout. I’ve wished many times I still had it .

But I like the new Bronco. I think Ford did it right. I know the styling is polarizing, but with all of the safety requirements these days, auto manufacturers have to make some concessions.

Since they called it a Bronco, I will give F**d credit for at least making it look kinda like a truck, versus GM's blasphemous use of the Blazer name on something that looks like an Equinox.

Yeah... I must have not remembered seeing an early Bronco, or just always thought they were Scouts. Neighbor when I was growing up had a Scout.

I noticed today they also make it in a four door. They really should have called it something besides a Bronco.
If they were hoping to appeal to the old time Bronco owners, it failed with me.
I'd rather have a '79 with Super Swampers on it. Removable top not required.

Big fan of this thing, and I'm not even a truck guy. I would hope that the yet to be released weight is well under 4000 pounds to give it plenty of pep. I've seen some grumbling about the four banger, but trust me when I say Ford knows how to make small displacement turbo engines. I have no regrets going from a 5.0 Mustang to my 1.6t Fiesta ST.

I think the design is extremely well done. I think they will sell quite a lot of these, even in pricier trim levels. Personally, I'd take it base spec with the slick 7 speed stick, 2 door, and drive the doors off it. Under 30 with "fees" is pretty good IMO for what you get.

I bet they resale really good, you are right about those 4 cylinders , amazing little motors.

This is great ! I love the bronco..both the older version that this is a tribute of sorts and the OJ version..I had one of the latter ones, huge lift kit 33s on it..but it had some quirks..so I had to get rid of it. I sold it for way less than I wanted to take too, I wanted 1500 and took 700..this kid came and looked at it. He wanted it bad, came back the next day with his entire family. They proceeded to tell me how this was going to be his first vehicle and everyone in their family had bronco's...yeah I was skeptical but I liked the creativity but they could tell I wasn't buying their story so they brought out pictures of them with their broncos...lol the mom had hers painted pink..the kid only had 700 and I thought about it, first vehicle, ford family to the extreme so I said you know what..give me the 700 and its yours..I lost money on it but I think I may have gotten karma. the stereo I had in that thing was a rocking head too...loud and great bass.

The Bronco II I thought about buying at one point until I talked to my boss who had one and he told me they roll really easy. I had already rolled one truck into a river and didn't really care for that feeling so I discarded the bronco II idea

Looks like you can get anywhere from 30 to 34 inch tires from the dealer which means you might be able to tuck In some 37s?
The jeep limos *4door* realy needs 37s to be capable I imagine the bronco limo would need the same tire
cant find any info if they come with lockers
Still kinda think for jeeps will be the go to for any kind of wheeling, could be wrong ?
