Gibson should follow fenders game plan. Reissue US made legendary models.... moderately priced (for US production instruments lets say 1000 to 1800 neighbohood) rippers, grabbers, g3s, rds in addition to thunderbirds and sgs available. Make a good hollowbody and les paul and maybe throw a 5 in there. They'd sell a lot.
I'm just more excited that the OP said that there is going to be a new G3, surely they can't mess that up...right?
Here's the new G-3 reissue, it's due pretty soon, I'll have one to review and am really looking forward to it. $999.00 at Sweetwater.
The G-3 pickups (and the EB-F's) are designed by Jim DeCola, formerly with Fender's Custom Shop.........
