New Gittler Basses!

I'm curious to know what kinds of techniques you would have to use to play a guitar built like that. I assume that if you use a technique that's mostly classical guitar based, with your thumb in the middle of the back of the neck, then you are good to go. Just about anything else would be an adventure at best. I suppose using your thumb to fret the 6th string would be pretty straight forward, what with no neck in the way. I'm struggling to picture how some of the more splayed out chords might work, since your fingers rely on the fretboard a bit to keep from slipping off of the strings. Mine do, anyway.

Bass technique would be pretty straight forward to imagine, in contrast to guitar technique.

If it's as expensive as I think for the material/time involved, it's time for me to start practicing my TIG welding again...

Definitely looks interesting... I just hope it doesn't have that "chain clanking on a cyclone fence" kind of sound the other metal basses I've heard through TB have.
