New Gittler Basses!

I've been focusing on guitar so I haven't been here in awhile. I recently purchased a Gittler Classic guitar, and they have been planning basses for awhile...

Well, the basses were just unveiled and will be at winter NAMM. I'm really digging the 4-string fretless:

Again, no affiliation, just a very happy, satisfied Gittler customer.

5-string in the works according to their web site.

The guitar works and sounds great; it out jangles and chimes my Rics. The guitar has bass and treble controls externally, with a mid pot inside. After a few hours the day I got it, I was acclimated to playing it with minimal challenges. Based on my guitar owning experience, a bass is at the top of my list. Funny thing is I've been considering a 4-string fretless, either a Ric 4003 or an original Steinberger L; I have both fretted Ric 4003 and Steinberger L, so the timing for this was about perfect...not so much for the gear fund though. :(

I'm really digging the 4-string fretless Gittler. GAS is growing...ugh.

I've been looking at that picture for a solid 2 minutes trying to figure out what it has to do with glitter.
Funny, yeah, I do that too, and these came up once before maybe a year or so ago - I did it then, too. The brain tries to make sense out of the signal the eyes are sending, sees what it wants to.

Not clear on pricing for the basses, that hasn't been announced AFAIK, probably at NAMM I'd guess. Again, I'm not affiliated with them at all, just a happy, satisfied customer. I thought the basses would be of interest to some here.

For my Gittler Classic guitar, list price: $4,995.00 (US). See: Invalid Link Removed

Cool story, bro. :meh:

I'm guessing those of us who are interested should stop discussing it?

Maybe Gittler needs to rethink making basses now that you weighed in? (sarcasm)
If you only want opinions that agree with you, you should state that up front.;)

He didn't even dis the bass, just said HE wasn't interested. I think that DOES count as discussion.
