New Origin Effects DCX Bass

Anyone running something along these lines?

Another yep.

I had a Source Aftershock in that gap between the Bassrig and DCX. I wasn't sure what distortion I wanted and figured it would be a good jack of all trades. Then I remembered I work with computers for a living and don't feel like fiddling with with more screens to tweak a pedal, so I ditched it. Besides, I don't really feel like I need it. There's enough good sounds on the board for now.

...but maybe an Origin Halcyon would fit...

Thats basically my Clean Tone. Tonight in rehearsal for the 2nd run through of our set I ran an SVT amp sim vs running the bass rig (was a tad too muddy and I was interested in seeing how it handled itself next to my drummer who is still LOUD AS HELL rather than try and roll some stuff off with the LP/HP on the BassRig. Got loads of clarity and grit, the SVT sim handled getting pushed extremely well. I wanted that Edge of breakup tube grit and the DCX delivered on that. Ran the whole pedal board thru the FX Return on a Fender Rumble 200 (they had it at the rehearsal room we used and im pretty sure the venue we're playing uses that as a house bass amp). You can avoid alot of the Hiss and extra noise from both the BassRig AND the Amp Sims in the stomp by going into the FX loop and bypassing the amps PreAmp.

Now I admit I was going for a heavier tone here, but first set was on the BassRig. Ended up with the Volume on the DCX at 2 o clock and the gain at 12 o clock.Volume was almost all the way up on the BassRig and the gain was around 9-10 o clock. Im using Rounds on a P bass for this set. It sounded great, but was still a little muddy before cleaning that up with the dcx bass. Im finding that with the either in the middle or Fat position on the BassRig the LF needs to sit around 10 or 11 o clock for my tastes. but having access to that EQ on the DCX made making needed adjustments on the fly super easy.

I also use an Aftershock, but after getting the DCX, Im really rethinking the need for such versatile drive, I just like that I can turn it on and off via midi and a Doom2 preset.

Halcyon would fit perfectly in that slot though. a +1 for that purchase from me sir.

Well after I took the first photo I got inspired to swap a couple things out. But you get the gist.

I like dirt as you can tell and Let’s just act like this is all I have.
:D:D:D
I won't tell if you won't. With this much dirt on the board , can I ask, what kind of music do you play?

I know this is a DCX thread but I also want to know what this sounds like! Lots of classy choices here.

I also love your knob mod on your blackpanel
