New Show Your Jazz!!

I think both pickups holes are routed to the dimensions of the bridge pickup but the shorter neck pickup is installed instead.

One thing I find troublesome is that the neck has to be removed in order to get to the truss rod. Especially when there are shims in place that tend to fall out of place when the neck is removed, it can be most frustrating. Anyone else share the same problems?

MIA Jazz Bass with S-1.

Will be changing the pickguard to White, and swapping the stock pickups for some Model J's :bassist:

That has to be the best colour/neck match for a Fender Jazz!! It just looks so sexy!! Although i do prefer it with the black block inlays and pup cover on the neck pup!!

Im currently saving for a Geddy Lee, once i have it i will replace the white pickguard with a black one then add the neck pup cover!! My dream Jazz

Many people like the black on black but I dunno. The minute I saw Hub's (The Roots) MIA Jazz with White pickguard and maple board, I just wanted it, I love how his bass has EMG's so you can't see the pole pieces, but since I'm not a fan of EMG's, I'm getting Model J's cos they have black pole pieces anyway. I probably sound like a **** trying to copy someone else, but I just think it looks great.

Ok...here is my new 60's Classic. I just used this last night at a gig....man this bass kicks! For those who frown on MIM basses, you need to try one of these, just as good and built just as well as its MIA counterparts.

My previous J now bears Zero resemblance to what it was. Add brasilian ash body with mahogany stringers, the original J neck, Bart J's and an OBP3 and stir furiously. Bake at 200 degrees C for whatever -

Bingo !
