Whoa, that wood pickguard totally sets it off.

Here's my mint green pickguard, surrounded by what looks like some type of Fender Jazz Special Edition in Lake placid Blue, or something.

I was looking on Ebay for a tort guard to replace the white original on this MIJ fretless. Came across these wood guards made by a guy named George Varkoly (username = gvarko), which I thought would capture much the same look as the tort but a bit unusual. Here's a link to George's Ebay store:

Took a bit of sanding to get it to fit, but I think it was well worth the effort.

Beautiful, but I don't like squared off fretboards on Fender Style basses.

What exactly is it thought Adrian, Sadowsky Metro?

Thanks fellas, i love this bass. I have been giving my F bass a break and have not put this bass down since i got it ( Still madly in love with my F). It is a Sadowsky Tokyo with an aftermarket pickguard from Terrapin Guitars.

mainly the pickguard, i just have a hatred for white pickguards, especially on black. black on black rules though. and i love the pickups in my mia jazz, any particular reason youre gonna switch em out?
