New Sire P Basses!

There are men who like these necks. Then women and kids are the next best fit for them. Nothing about calling anyone, anything. They are thinner and fit more of the population. That's why they make them this way. No other reason. Meanwhile, P bass players get shafted.

I don't know what type of neck's profile fit women and kids hands but your post makes me think that P necks are well suited for drama queens :rollno:

What a bunch of grumpy old cranks. They are knobs, not your computer; join the crazy new fangled world of preamps :rollno:

Just because something is newfangled and popular doesn't mean it's better for everyone.

Take smartphones for example. Cellular phones are great, but when you try to combine it with a fully functional computer you end up with the worst of both worlds. You get a phone with short battery life and prone to computer viruses or other technical complications which could potentially leave you stranded without communication. And you end up with a computer with limited memory and processing and a tiny screen. Most of the highly educated and intelligent folks I know prefer dumb phones and quality tablets or laptops.

At home I still have a landline and a big heavy lump of plastic with a dial on it for a phone and I love it.

They look really nice but why do they have Marcus Miller's name on them? Marcus doesn't do P basses. That modern Jazz bass looks really nice.
He's been heavily involved in their development process, particularly the preamp design. I don't think Sire sees a need to have a P specific celeb endorser, they seem to be doing ok as is (as in, even after ramping up production substantially, they're still selling as fast as they can make them).

I can be a techno-luddite in some areas, I still have a traditional land line (no VOIP) so I can call when the power's out (especially to report outages) - cell phone reception isn't reliable enough.

And I do like traditional simple basses as well. I just happen to like these more. ;)

mostly, the combination sucks when a bunch of folks choose not to make a left-hand turn when the arrow turns green because Instagram car selfies are far more important than traffic signals

I don't know where you both live but my cell never loses signal all over Texas. My computer functions are fast and smooth. My laptop hasn't been turned on in months. Smartphones are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Well along side active electronics on a P bass:smug:
