Why are you guys taking this so serious? The title is a joke: His "new technique" is eating bread and drinking tea while playing the bass. I'm sure he doesn't think 1 handed bass is a new thing, the technique requires bread and tea? Get it?

1) I saw Clements video a way before I started to develope this technique,whatever it is..

2) It was also fun, as Space Ritual said, because The technique isn´t fully developed yet and it might sound crappy. BUT I was also serious, because I´ve never saw any player do stuff like this. Yes its quite close to Clements technique, but its quite different approach and thats what counts. Its developed to sound like normal Flea-like slap, but played with one hand to get groovy riff in the background and also add a melody on the top.

Alsou those plucked harmonic percussion i find quite new. But it could better heard in "The Bass" video.

Today, because a lot of players are incredibely skilled and a technique is quite revealed, its hard to find something wich will be really revolutionary (i would say , that in technique its even impossible). You have to take a look deeper under the surface and try to find out the new options for players it reveals. Its not like when Larry Graham came and said: "Hey...i got an idea! Lets all play with our thumb now!" wow...it was something completely different , but today? Its qite usual to use 9 finger when playing...even ten. So dont you wait that new technique would be that obvious :)

Dude, a new technique is not ever going to be revolutionary.. if u serously wanna start a musicrevolution then u should learn how to write revolutionary music, that's a little bit tougher than sitting in ur bedroom practicing awful noises a couple of hours a day, isn't it? :rolleyes:

oh come on...We are talking about technique and playing...After new promo of my fusion project is mixed I am gonna link it here for you so you can continue trying to dishonor what I do.

Iam getting fed up with this discussion...I totally accept, that music which I make is not somebodys cup of tea...fine...I respect every reasonable opinion, but I am sick of bunch of "musicians" who find everyone who is technically skilled non-musical. That´s nonsence...

Iam sorry to write stuff like this, because Iam really not big headed, but...

Let me introduce myself a bit. I started playing bass when I was 15. I have no musical education at all (no teachers, no musical school). When I was 20 I recorded a CD under Sony BMG distribution with a band Vinohrady. Nowadays I lead a band where is also Ivan Myslikovjan on alto sax. He´s the best sax player in Czech Republic and respected as a great musician in whole Europe also. For example he performed with Tony Trishka (teacher of Béla Fleck). Check out his biography, because its pretty impressive

So..now we recorded together my compositions - Sax virtuoso, man who records all over the europe and plays with world-known artists, with more than 50 albums recorded etc. and he is in my band, recording music I composed and I am just 22 years old kid practising awful noises in my bedroom. :)

I know, that my playing and composing is far from being flawless, but on the other hand I am not some lousy fretboard runner who is masturbating the bass instead of his wiener :)

hope I made myself clear: not bigheaded - misunderstood niceguy :D

some people on here get a tad upset when anyone dares say "check out my technique".

I've checked it out, and it's not really revolutionary. but it is fantastic.

Don't worry about some people with bass envy. They're jealous.

I'm not, of course. I'm quite comfortable with the fact that I suck....:D

Can anyone say that thier composition and playing is flawless??

Ive never seen a flawless player, ive played with some great musicians but never a flawless one!

You're a great guy Mr Jenich, I like your stuff. I hope I'll be playing that well when im 22, though at 20 I think I'm doing pretty well for myself in the Music world! lol

PS. Where abouts in the Czech Republic are you from??
