Hey mate, I was just up in your neck of the woods last week! I drove up to Burlington, NC to meet a friend last Thursday (bypassing Fayetteville, but close enough).Wasn't there something in the Christian bible about someone knocking down a wall with a trumpet? Looks like you guys traded trumpets for a wall of Hartke awesomeness.

Ah yes, the walls of Jericho. Much different from our "wall of sound" and so far our building's walls are still standing so no worries there. And I have yet to see someone spontaneously combust - that would be scary! I think God is giving everyone all the chances He can before everything is wrapped up (in other words, He's not going around randomly combusting people or causing walls to fall on them).
Anyway, Psalm 150:5 says to praise Him with loud and clanging cymbals, so our drummer definitely obliges (so I figure a loud bass amp is also included) and Psalm 144:9 says to praise Him with an instrument of 10 strings. I started on a 4 stringed bass, eventually moved to 5, and now own two 6ers and two 7 string basses - so I'm working my way up.

I run a 1000W head into a nominal 500W cab and it’s absolutely fine.
If it sounds bad, turn down until it doesn’t. And if that doesn’t provide enough volume, get two 8 ohm cabs instead, with more drivers for more air movement
Honestly unless it’s insanely OTT like a 2kW power amp I wouldn’t worry too much. Just be sensible with the volume control
It certainly can be used, but likewise it certainly can damage the cabinet unless you are very careful not to overdrive the cabinet. Being able to hear a cabinet being damaged is not as easy as some here suggests especially if you use in overdrive pedal as part of your sound.
Great cabinet, I wouldn't want to risk damaging it without better understanding the risk. Just use good common sense and judgement and you should be ok.

So, the rig arrives literally right before the show, and the first time I even powered it up was at sound check. Yes, I did have another rig (that I know and trust) on hand, just in case, but I have to say, I was very impressed. Playing at the Midwest Rhythm Summit, there are naturally a good number of bass players (and sound technicians) in attendance, and I heard universal praise for the tone of the Trace rig, even compared to the other bass rig (that aforementioned rig I know and trust) used by one of the other bands (which has a bass player who puts me to shame in his sleep!). I ran it with the tone controls set "flat" and no compression, low Gain, higher Master Volume, and it just sounded "right" out of the gate. Of course, that lovely Lull MV4 didn't hurt!
