New Traynor YBA 100!!

The amp was sounding great at rehearsal the other night.

What do you think of the lighter knobs? Sure is easier for me to see, but I’m not sure if I like the look. May leave them on for a few days snd see if they grow on me.

I like the lighter knobs too. Good idea.
I find the knobs turn too easily, I made felt washers and put them behind the knobs.

Blacking out the transformer is on the pretty list. Im thinking of using some fishpaper (vulcanized fibre), painted matte black, as a curtain next to the transformer.

some O rings for tap (hardware store) are doing a great job, I like to keep my setting when I have a good one

I’m having one made by Tuki covers. The price was as much as a Gator bag but is sized to the amp. Should be here in about 10 days. I’ll post a report when it arrives.
The cover arrived today and it was just as I expected it to be. I have had Tuki covers in the past and I am very happy with it. It fits perfectly.

Gary has made a lot of bags for me over the decades.

Mostly for various cabinets that are long gone, now, but I still have the one for my Markbass Minimark, and a custom bag he made for my former Eden WT400 (long gone) that has served as a bag for a Walter Woods amp (of several I've owned) and as a gig bag.

Ah yes the fabled Tuki cover. I've got a few of them which I am quite fond of. The issue is getting them to Canada for a reasonable price. I look back and shake my head at how much I spent on my 212V covers. Not many options in Canada for custom covers. RIP D2F :(

Hi,
My YBA100 arrived yesterday. I changed the inside connector to 240AC (230AC as well) position. No big drama, just power on and start to play. Only information for that operation is in YBA100/300 schematic diagram ( I keep it little odd ).
Anyway you must change fuse and mark the new fuse size T2,5AL and what voltage unit is using now.
YBA100 is also beautiful from inside. For my ears the sound is rich and full compared to D-class units.

Tuomo
Heyy Tuomo, my YBA100 came already prepped for Europe, I ordered from Long & McQuade directly.

Thanks Tuomo, for getting back on this. Glad it was that easy for you, enjoy the amp!
Hey Fuzzonaut, we could meet to compare our Life pedals and you could check out my YBA100 if you want, my rehearsalroom is in Winterthur ... :bassist:

Is it the 1st one in Europe ?
So me is the second to has one?? My preciousss!

Cheers Bassic-Amigo
