Maybe not. But, they are good for the younger crowd. And the kids who are picking up a bass for the first time. I don't care what kind of a bass a kid picks up. As long as they are willing to learn and have fun playing. Trust me, I've owned some ugly basses before and I know almost everybody on here has.

Ok, I don't know who has been reading this thread. But, it's been stated many times. He is a money maker. His name sells. Smart business move by Fender/Squier. I'm sure there are bassist that you like that people ask the same thing. No, he isn't a good bassist. But, he gets the job done and sells a lot of records worldwide.

yeah the bat thing sucks ..pretty bad actually..he even slipped in onto his fake louis vuitton printed bass just below the bridge... but ive seen worse designs a la George Lynch ESP guitars. it could always be worse

But he has had some pretty cool basses, minus the bat.. I would play the Louis Vuitton bass though, small bat or not.

i really dig the 2 basses i posted that big block P with the led's is outrageous! could yo imagine that thing in a smaller venue... hit a fat open E and in the breakdown of a song and blind everyone!!! the louie is sweet too and the bat is just subtle enough to not suck nearly as bad...no vol no tone on it either just hardwired to the jack

Purple is my favorite color and I'm taking my son to see FOB this coming Sunday so I hope to see him play it live! I know he is not a great bassist (Pete even admits that himself) but they are a good band. I'll let you all know how they are live in a week.

That's beautiful. All I'd change, for personal preference, would be a rosewood fingerboard and give it a matching headstock...
