thats sounds like buffer setting are off, your cpu cant keep up, so it clips

not familiar with sequel at all, but you will want to go into the settings or preferences and adjust

if it is compatible with asio4all (free soundcard driver) i would use that

I have no idea if this has been done on the bass model.

Don't have a B3, but assuming they update the firmware to allow 6 stomps, I suspect I'll be getting one.

I am just scared after the mod is done, update will turn into a pain, but seems to be very useful in changing patches on the fly.

It seems you need a different mod after the firmware update (assuming that becomes available for bass). Read that site some more.

Hopefully it will help others wondering about some of the more meat-n-potatoes sound shaping capabilities, such things as the SansAmp sim (a big one for me) & a simple amp sim (in this case, Hartke).

Just a simple little riff done on a Jazz bass - flat for 2 measures, then kicking in the Hartke Amp sim for 2 measures, then the SansAmp sim for 2 measures, well -you get the idea.

Recording note: All EQ-ing done on the Zoom B3, no compression or any post-EQ'ing or editing done after hitting the computer. The drums are a simple little pattern straight out of the B3 as well.

It came across pretty decent on my KRK studio monitors, but with a whole slew of computer/car, etc., speakers out there in the world, I know it could sound anywhere from super crap to pretty awesome & anywhere in between, lol. I just wanted to put up a small idea for those interested in some of the amp sims & some idea of how the B3 can help shape tone in general. There are tons of more exotic effects in the B3 I know, but at the moment I'm primarily using it to build a good solid gigging tone of a few different flavors depending on the style of music & the B3 is quite up to the task. I like how you can dial in everything from subtle enhancements of your bass tone to bigger, bolder enhancements. I love how a great portion of the effects have a Blend knob to dial in just the right amount of subtlety. I like the B3 a whole lot!

Here's a very specific question for all you B3 users regarding Signal Flow:

On Zoom's Edit & Share,

it says the signal direction is '3-2-1'. Notice right side, left-most grey button.

Does this mean that the GK Amp model is coming first, and the BassPre is last?

This is why I ask:

At the same time, looking at the onboard interface of the B3 itself, it is telling me that the signal chain is in this direction:
1>2>3>

It seems like the unit and the program are saying different things!

I asked too. Customer service said they expect it's coming since the g3 and b3 are almost identical hardware but he didn't have a timeframe.

Wouldn't it be possible to purchase a 2nd B-3 and hook them both together via the usb and get the same result?

Another question I had about the B-3 is this: I've got a great sounding passive jazz bass, and I'm leary of putting an active preamp in it for fear of losing such a great passive tone. But many of us know the benefits of an active preamp. Then someone suggested the use of an outboard preamp, like a sansamp or whatever. With various outboard preamp simulations in the B-3, could you do the same with the B-3, instead of getting a new pedal?

Sure seems like the B3 would be capable of doing what you're after. I've poked around the interwebs a bit and heard some great demos. Actual owners might have more real world input though.

That said, I had the very same concern about losing the jazz bass mojo on my Jazz V. I finally took the plunge and installed an Audere JZ3 and I don't regret it for a single second. Same great jazz tone, but wait... there's more! As a special TV bonus, I now have an on-board 3-band EQ and Z-mode switch. It made a huge improvement in the tonal palette of that bass.
