New Zoom B3 has arrived!!!!

Oh yea and a quick question about this guy. Do you guys put it first or last in your signal chain? I know when I had the Pitchfactor, I put it first. This is only my second multi I've ever owned.
I put this one last because I like my dirt and Wah before it, I mainly modulate, delay and reverb with it.
I have mine second to last with a delay after it. I can use the Zoom to create some cool sounds all set to be delayed. (That sounds weird; delayed.)
I was prompted to download a new version last week (v5.0). I downloaded and installed it, but haven't seen anything that tells me what is different, updated or fixed.
Yes, if and when they do a version two for us, the B3 will be MUCH more usable. In the meantime, I may download the G3 2.0 update and see if it will load into my B3. I suspect the hardware is identical. If that proves to be the case, I could see a G5 in my future. Gtr toy now, possible update to B5 later, if that makes sense
there is a release notes document you have to download separately...but nothing changed for B3 users, only G3 users who now get 6 effects simulataneously....so I can assume eventually B3 will get the same update.
Recently brought out the expression pedal to use for volume control on the B3 again, which works fine. But when I try to use it for the pedal effects (wah, etc.) it only acts as a volume pedal.
It's the Zoom pedal so compatibility isn't the problem. I seem to remember when I used it before it did the same thing, then I figured out what was wrong and it worked fine. But I can't remember what the fix was. Can someone help me out here?

Saving your own Patches: How can you save just onto a blank patch, as opposed to removing one? Or is the idea that you're meant to delete one first to swap it with your customised one. I'd like to have two patches (6fx in total) that I can bounce back and forth between fairly quickly).
- whats the dif between 'swap' and 'store' patches? Can't seem to figure it out. Why can't I saved an edited patch in its current position?

Also, if I adjusted the parameters of one of my 'stompboxes', then turn the unit off, should it automatically saved that edited parameter? I find that when I turn it back on, it goes back to its original knob setting.
I'm pretty sure it remembers your settings, so there's no need to save a patch where it is. I think swap saves both patches in each other's places but honestly I haven't tried it yet.
I've read the manual, but some things just aren't clear. If I'm going to lose a patch when I write a new one, then I need to make sure I'm on one that I don't care for before I start editing. The manual is very good in some respects, but I see questions being asked here that have also occurred to me.
That's what the software is for. You can test your patches out while hooked upto the computer, too. Just use some headphones and have your bass plugged in.
