New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

This is exactly how this functionality plays-out and it would be a bummer if not for the ability to Scroll effects in and out of view.

Cheers!

It just means that if I want a stompable effect on either side of something like the B7K then I wouldn't be able to fit all three pedals in view at the same time. I'd only get 2. Bummer.

Then do sweep parameters that use the outboard rocker pedal only take 1 slot? Or do they still consume two spots, and the second spot is just controlled by the rocker pedal instead of the stomp switch?

Also, can I slide the view such that the main pedal is off the view and only the second spot with boost on it is seen? So I'd have boost from 1st effect-2nd effect-3rd effect as my three visible items.

If an effect has more than 4 parameters then it is considered a Large effect and it spans across 2 effect slots.

I believe (need verification) that there is a toe switch on the expression pedal that may double-duty as control for the state of the second foot switch.

Sorry, I edited this in after you replied:

Also, can I slide the view such that the main pedal is off the view and only the second half with boost on it is seen? So my three visible items would be:
boost from 1st effect (i.e. the second half of the large effect)
2nd effect
3rd effect

I am confused. Looking at the specs and manual on the website, there is an incongruence. The specs list USB midi, but the manual says nothing about USB audio. So, (perhaps I don't know enough) either the USB can be used for recording (as the specs imply) or it can't be done (as the manual implies). Has anyone tried?

This can be done in the manner you describe, similarly, on the G5n, so no reason to think you can't do the same on the B3n. The main requirement is that you have to have two slots showing as occupied (by something) AFTER your "large" effect.

It can't be done. The computer does not recognize the B3n as a sound card.

No USB Audio for the B3n. Currently, USB is only to be used for firmware updates and for connecting to GuitarLab software for getting new items (amps/cabs/effects) when Zoom releases them - or - for deleting items from your B3n if you don't fell you'll ever use them. GuitarLab also will do backups of your preset patches.

For USB Audio, as far as I know the G5n is the only one of the new series that does this. I've no idea what the USB MIDI spec is all about. I'll speculate that somewhere under the hood there is some exposed control data stream that can be hacked.

Check out what this person has done on the Zoom G3 pedal:

Very interested in how the Darkglass versions sound in it. If the tone is close to the original, I want one right now

Considering the hidden USB MIDI control in the Multistomp series, you might be right.

Got caught up on the last few pages. Looks like people have some different info from their Sweetwater or other sales reps with some back and forth about release dates. The last I heard from mine was when he called around the end of February and said "likely around the end of March, and I'll send you an email as soon as we're shipping it out."

At this point it's likely going to arrive right before we go on vacation for two weeks, lol.
