This is why the Seahawks traded Wilson, most likely. One guy isn't going to win a championship on his own if the rest of the team is bargain bin specials.

Hope you're right, though. Since we're already paying for that type of performance, it would be nice to get it.

Yep, really disgusting. I actually expected him to get a full season. And the NFL probably isn't going to overrule the person they just recently hired to handle these cases. Barf.

Baker Mayfield's response was "None of my business. I don't play against the other quarterback."

Taking the high road, but you know he's gotta be loving every second of this mess. Especially since the Panthers open the season against the Browns.

I stayed up way past my bedtime and ate a slice of pizza after 9pm. I party pretty hard.
Anyway, my wife is a bills fan and she got me watching the games again last year. I told her not to get excited because the bills were a really good team with a lot of talent and good coaching, but they weren't quite dialed in and locked down yet. Exciting to watch, yes. But boring, composed and dialed in is what wins Superbowls.
I actually didn't expect the bills to win last night. At the very least, I expected a close, low scoring game and a Kupp TD catch at the end of the game to win it.
Looks like LA may have been a one time deal last year.
Bills look more complete, mature and dialed in. Should be a good year for them. Unless they keep letting Allen run the ball late in games, when they're already winning :confused: and he ends up out for the year with a shattered knee.
That boy's gonna feel all that when he's 40.

I wrote off sports a few years back for the scoreboard watch, never been happier for that. Eagles fan, February 2018 was as good a time as any, The Wednesday after that SB win over the Patriots, my Dad went into the ICU for 5 days and passed away 5 days after he was released in hospice. Put a lot of things in perspective pretty much. So the Covid seasons for MLB, NBA, NCAA, NFL, didn't really miss it.

The upside to it, I have healthier hobbies I dedicate that time for now, there's no disappointments anymore either. I reflect back at all the great moments in sports, as part of history as it is, I really have more great memories of my own life & what that was from childhood => present that are both more therapeutic & meaningful.

That may have been the weirdest Steeler game I've seen. I seriously began to think it would end in a tie.

The D can hold their own, but the O is familiarly ineffectual. No run game and Trubisky running for his life on every pass play.

I seriously thought they were gonna' lose after the Bengals took the lead near the end of regulation. But then the extra point (which would have probably won the game for them) was blocked, sending it to OT.

Then the Steelers had to punt. Burrow marches them down the field. I'm thinking, "How in the (bleep) could the Steelers lose this game after getting 4 interceptions and a fumble recovery??!!!" But then the Bengals kicking woes continued with the back up long snapper making a high snap, causing the kicker to panic and send it wide left. Steelers did win the game (as they SHOULD have, thanks to their defense), but were ultimately still very lucky to get the W.

I know one thing: The Steelers offense better improve if they want to win any more. They can thank the defense for this one.

And another thing. I'm beginning to wonder whether Najee Harris is way overrated. I love the kid personally, but it seems his running is bottled up almost every week. Still, I hope his injury wasn't serious. He's still a receiving threat out of the backfield, but it's baffling as to why he's always struggling to get more than two yards per carry.
