Bills are straight up fun to watch. No point in denying it.
Bills all the way! Dane Jackson walked out of ECMC under his own power and appears to have escaped serious injury after a fluke "friendly fire" injury. A flip of the bird to the Titan that decided he had to push Jackson while he was laying there helpless. Miami next week is going to be tough with all the Bills' injuries on defense.
It is a strange misery to have your team get rolled over. Equal parts envy and despair.
Agree. As long as the team doing the rolling doesn't fall under your own personal version of "evil empire" teams, the envy is still possible.
My whole take on sports has changed over the years. Where once I had favorite teams I grew up rooting for because my dad did (Steelers, Dolphins, and the regional factor of Colts/Bengals), now it's different. It started with the Montana/Young 9ers, who were just a lot of fun to watch, then moved to the Warner era Rams, and on and on. The Patriots and Cowboys were the perennial enemy dynasties, and a few other teams waded in and out of that mix.
But at this point, certain teams just seem to have a sense of joy about playing, and I like watching them. The Bills are one of these. The Chargers have potential, but it flickers. The Bengals had it last year, but they are hard to watch this year because their O line is so horrific. The Rams have it at times, but often because of their defense. Anyway, it makes watching the game more fun not to be locked in to pulling for a team that might be playing abjectly crap football just because they wear the uniform.
To no one's surprise, the Bears still suck. (Packers fan here, in case you hadn't guessed.)
It was good to see Green Bay bounce back after a humiliating loss the first week. The defense looked really solid. As soon as Rodgers gets those young receivers up to speed, the offense could be scary.

Justin Fields has great potential, & the Bears defensive line looks pretty good to me.

Preseason doesn't count because each team is playing their ones, twos and threes throughout the game. In the regular season matchup, the Packers are 1-0 over the Bears. With all of their ones in the game, Chicago only managed one touchdown.
Pre-season does not count in the standings, but
Pre-season counts as far as running plays, defining formations, and finding holes in offense/defense.

I mentioned this to Low8 when we discussed the, then, upcoming Monday Night game -snip!- After this weekend "ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!" seems like it's almost true. Then I remember who is calling our offensive plays and I know, deep down, what is going to happen. Still, if this is the way of things, I hope Tenn tanks so hard the Colt's "Suck for Luck" campaign will look like armature hour. There is some really nice QB prospects. Add in a college coach looking to make the jump to the NFL *as an OC* (Warren Ruggiero - Wake Forrest comes to mind, I really like his coaching) and get on with winning some damn games.
I'm much the same, however it was fantasy football that caused my shift. I'm now much more a fan of players. I'll still be a Titans fan, and I will still have a 2nd favorite team - anyone facing the Cowboys, but I find the individuals far more compelling and worthy of cheering for. Teams.... are disappointing as they are complicit in behavior I can no longer ignore.

Take a pass. He ain't that great, and he's not an NFL talent.
Unfortunately, what he could be will cloud the vision of NFL player personnel types and the guy will likely get drafted high because he can be really good, but he won't be. He'll get paid, he'll get endorsements, he'll make a bajillion dollars and probably throw 30 passes in the NFL worth anything. In recent years, it seems more and more NFL teams are drafting potential rather than proven skills.
You can check him out for yourself this Saturday at 12:30 PM PST on CBS as the Gators head to Knoxville to play the Vols. That'll be a national broadcast.

Thanks Mike. I think what made me ask was the crazy jump fake pass. It seemed to me he was deliberate with his intent ( Football I.Q. ) coupled with athletic ability. I like his size and he has a hose. Still, I saw a limited sample. I just know the window for the Titans has closed. The O-line is a shambles, the OC is so predictable it's maddening. And when he's not, it's a doomed trick play. Henry deserves better. Tanny had his best WR traded. He deserved better. Now the narrative is he's not good enough. I disagree, but that ship has sailed. He's becoming what they say he is. I hope Vrabes survives the transition.
He's flashy and had a machine gun nickname. If that's what you want as your QB, then I highly recommend you draft him and trade up to do so. He'll give you all the flash you want.
