I have no idea. Once they got cheap and took it out of Hawaii, I'm not sure why any of the players show up. If they can't even bother to go there, I don't see any point.

The Ravens backup QB Huntley is in in the PB as an alternate. He started 4 games this season, 2 TD and 3 INTS.

That should tell you all you need to know about the Pro Bowl.

Today's challenge is to see if the pro bowl holds my attention for more than 10min

I've advocated getting rid of the game for years. The Pro Bowl can't be a midseason game because of the physical nature of football, and no player wants to get hurt in a postseason Pro Bowl, either.

I like the idea of a Pro Bowl weekend similar to the NBA All-Star weekend, with plenty of skills competitions (preferably well-conceived!) and fan-friendly events that give fans reasonable access to the players. This would be an event where fans can see so many of their favorite players in one place and have a chance to get autographs and take pics with them. And there would be plenty of games and activities for the fans to participate in as well. I didn't watch very much of the festivities, so it might already be that way. However, I did see trampoline catch and flag football, which is why I emphasized "preferably well-conceived!"

There's just no need for a boring game in which players are worried about injury. And flag football in place of the game does NOT work!!!

Why the clowning on Aaron about the darkness retreat? We all need that kind of downtime. Our lives are way too busy now and electronic devices control too many people's lives.
One of the highlights of my year is the week or so the wife and I hike deep into the mountains away from everything. There's no cell reception where we go, no electricity, no Starbucks or McDonald's either. We do carry a rescue beacon in the event of an emergency.
But seriously, that one week away from electronics and the hub bub of daily life is more refreshing than anything else we'll do all year.

Disclaimer: I am not insinuating everyone is controlled by electronic devices. Some of us know at least someone who is.

After he talked about taking ayahuasca last offseason while hemming and hawing about staying, too.

He's a drama queen like his predecessor Favre. But he also seems to be trying to establish himself as a lifestyle guru.

Dan Orlavsky made an interesting observation on the Dan Patrick show this morning regarding the Eagles.
They've been to the Super Bowl twice in six years with a QB on his rookie contract and a solid roster all around him. Even though Jeffrey Lurie said all the right things about wanting to re-sign Hurts this week, could the Eagles possibly view this as the blueprint to success?
It's worked for them twice in a row now. You have to wonder.

Well put. Rodgers has made it clear that he's marching to a different drummer. Something that might be a good experience for him could easily be a nightmare to someone else.

I'm not going to judge him. He knows himself better than any of us do.
