Rodgers needs to move on or retire. But that also means the Packers need to pick up a QB via trade or free agency, because Jordan Love is NOT the future of the Packers by any stretch.

Falcons are looking like they’re gonna falcon again. Our inept HC has hired 3 new assistants and they’re all his buddies. Yay. Still waiting for the one day.

And hey, there've been QB signings. I thought the Geno Smith deal seemed crazy for one good year, but I've heard more about the structure and it makes a little more sense as they'll still have room to draft a QB in the first round. I don't think Geno's going to do any better than 9-8, though, in fact he may revert to the mean.

And the Saints' strategy is curious. They're going way over the cap for Derek Carr. Maybe that's enough to win the NFC South, given the Panthers, Bucs, and Falcons don't know who their starters are going to be. But I can't imagine the Saints getting beyond the first or maybe second round of the playoffs.

In the NFL these days, throwing 15 TD passes will get you a $160,000,000 contract. What a shame for how low the standards have fallen, or perhaps how shameful these kids are demanding so much money for being almost good.
It's a good thing the Montana's, Marino's, Moon's, and McNair's (RIP) don't play in today's NFL. There wouldn't be a team that can afford them.

And I especially have to shake my head when they express how "insulted" they are with an offer of "only" 45 million per year or something like that. (Yes, I understand market value and all; but to quote Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, "I guess I just wasn't made for these times...")

It looks like the Falcons exited themselves from the Lamar Jackson chase. I’m glad. He’s never played a full season without game missing injuries. He’s barely. 60% passer (same as Mariota) and on top of his abilities to complete 2,300 yards in the air he adds 700-800 by rushing. I’m my opinion a 3,000 total yard quarterback is not worth $50M a year. For all his buzz the football fact is Jackson doesn’t carry a team. I’m just glad my team is smart enough to not take the bait.
I don't see it. Raiders' roster is arguably worse than Tampa's. And they probably wouldn't finish better than third behind the Chiefs and Chargers.
These Brady rumors are fun to watch. First I heard the possibility of Miami, which actually makes some sense. But any other team, not sure if there's any validity.

The thing to me is the amount you are paying 1 guy that much of your cap it doesn't leave a whole heck of a lot for the other 52 guys on your roster (not counting PS guys). How is a team supposed to keep any of their best players for any amount of time? You are really counting a lot on your front office hitting on their picks at a very high rate. Have to be able to replace these guys quickly.
