Sonofagun. I'm still not sure what to think of that score. We took some friends snowshoeing today, so I didn't see a lick of the game.
If Rudolph is that good, then it's further proof the coaching staff has no clue what they're doing making Trubisky #2. Case in point, after the game Tomlin said it was too early to ask about the starting quarterback for the Week 17 game. Why? Is he seriously not sure if Trubisky should start next week? Heck, even @gln1955 called it over Pickett which I agree with. Rudolph is the starter, end of discussion Tomlin.
As for Cincinnati, that's why we call them the Bungals. They blew it today, but I'm not going to blame Browning.

I caught a few minutes of the DET/MIN game today. That was unfortunate the DET guy made an interception and during the return was pointing at the MIN sideline making gestures. I've seen guys do it after the play, but I don't recall seeing a player taunting the other team during a play.
Can't you just play the game with acting like a fool?
In other news related to that game, I kept it on as long as I did because of Kenny Albert, he calls a good game. Jonathan Vilma was with him, who did a fine job as well with his player perspective. He has a checkered past on the field, but I tried to ignore that.

I am still hoping for a Lions/Browns Super Bowl. Mostly because of how improbable it would be and because neither team has ever been there. Never mind the stupid both display sometimes.

The Seahawks will sneak into the playoffs and them make a rapid exit. Carroll seems to just get them there every year now, but no farther. He is too old to be Tomlin, so there is that.

As a natural born raiders fan, and a Seahawks fan by choice, it was a decent week! And yeah, I like two teams that can be totally anemic and crap the bed on a regular basis. Here’s to the Raiders Hawks SB baby!

Speaking of the Raiders, Antonio Pierce seems to have fit in nicely. Feels like he deserves a shot as the HC next season. I wonder if Davis will dump him for a high profile hire.
As for KC, they picked the wrong time to start playing like this. I wonder if Mahomes is right and all they need to do is clean it up a bit and they'll be back to their dominant selves. I'm not so sure.
I'd be worried about Brock Purdy as a 49er fan. Those stingers are no joke. I'm sure some of you have had those as I have. I can't imagine trying to play in the NFL with that kind of injury. That relatively weak hit took him right out of the game. He got up off the grass having a hard time holding his arm. I know that feeling, no good.

Definitely agree about Pierce. Heck, the interim coach after gruden did some good things and then they hire what’s his name who didn’t do well at all. I’d love to see Pierce as HC, he’s got the Raider vibe and such.

Mahomes- seems like since the offsides hissy fit that he’s not been the same. How does an elite chiefs offense turn into a team struggling to get a first down…even Kelce let it get into his head. It’s too bad but hey, that’s the NFL.

I’m really curious to see how far the Lions go this year. I think everyone is rooting for them, but I don’t think they have the pedigree atm to go too far.

I am from Pittsburgh. It is the team I grew up with.
Went from a raging, travel around the country to go to games fan to a guy who just likes a good football game.
As long as Tomlin coaches the Steelers, I am fine with them losing.
I was a Seahawk fan until they hired Pete Carroll. I don't even remember how many games I've been to in the Kingdome. Then going to Pietros Pizza on Tuesdays to get a pizza and the Seahawks photo of the week, which I'd hang up on the wall in my bedroom week after week until I had all 16 for the season.
Yes, 16. None of this 17 and 18 nonsense or games all over the world.

I cleaned carpets in Oly, over to temp, down to chehalis, up to Tacoma and Puyallup, and I met a ton of Steelers fans! I will say you guys are a legit fan base, and Tomlin is and has been pretty dang good. I know he’ll beat us next week.

That much is true about Steeler fans.
Tomlin was a good coach. He hasn't been good since about 2010 or 2011.
I can't say for sure Pittsburgh wins on Sunday. I suppose he will attempt to motivate the players to win so he can preserve his most meaningless stat ever in the NFL, but I think Seattle has more to play for, which should turn into a Seattle win. I'm going to catch hell from my Seahawk buddies if Seattle wins, I am prepared for that.

Pete used to be, well, let’s say effective. Now I think everyone figured his defense out, or something because it’s just not the same. Maybe we had a generational collection of players during the legion of boom days. I used to enjoy watching our defense play more then offense. Now I usually leave the room after one of many easy first down passes that we allow.

u make a good point about the hawks being hungry, but the Steelers can be effective and the Seahawks can go stale in important moments, so that my logic on losing. I have been pleasantly surprised a few times this year though, maybe due for one more.

Carroll had a generational talent at QB, but ran him off trying to build another great defense. Tomlin too had great players on offense, but ran them off trying to build another great defense.
You're going to need a QB to win in today's NFL. Neither Kenny Pickett nor Geno Smith qualify as such.

Russell Wilson? He was a generational talent for quite a few years. Now, he seems to have lost it. Not that I follow the Broncos enough to know what is really going on. His ego drove him out of Seattle, not Carroll. None of his former teammates have a lot good to say about him, either. They will go to war anywhere for Geno. That makes a difference. The current problem with Carroll and the Seahawks is that Carroll seems to have a set idea of how football should be played, never mind the personnel. He doesn't seem to adapt to maximize the skills of the guys he has.

Pete and Tomlin are like matter and anti-matter. Different yet the same.

as far as Russ, it was super strange of him to up and leave. I was surprised anyway, as Russ was destined for the hawks and matched Pete’s attitude well. And while he was a great talent, it was absolutely stressful at times. He’s a clutch, magic type of player. Not consistently productive in games…usually it came down to a 4th quarter comeback. He’d come alive in those situation but my goodness it was nerve wracking. I admit I was praying on his downfall for a while and it was working, but I’m still happy for him to be successful.

I guess at this point we just hope lighting strikes twice and we get a stud in the later picks like we did with Russ. Cus yeah, Geno ain’t him.

both hawks and Steelers are kinda similar too, a dynamic runner or two, couple solid receivers, but you guys have the straight heat on the dline compared to us. Oh boy what I’d do for a great pass rusher…it’s been years.
