Maybe the Seahawks are not quite so hopeless this season. Well, maybe they are lucky, too. They are not a Brady/Hoodie dynasty, though. Adams hasn't worked out like his contract anticipated. Love looks like a better option now. In another year or two, with good drafts and no more misfires or bonehead trades, they could be contending again. I really like Geno and want to see him succeed. He isn't going to carry a team very often though. The Seahawks need to bring on his successor. Lock is a backup. They may sneak into the playoffs yet again. That is their ceiling for now.
If they do more than that, you can all remind me that my crystal ball is cloudy plastic at best.
Seattle played a good game last night. I am pleased to see the "mighty unstoppable Eagles" drop their 3rd in a row. Maybe now the talking heads will stop putting them on a pedestal.
In other news, I doubt I'll get to watch 9ers/Ravens because it's Christmas, but that could be the game of the year.

To me, it was obvious Hurts was sick last night. I don't recall him missing so many throws high and wide or short.

One of the ways the Seahawks got lucky. I'm a little surprised the Eagles put him out there, but he was their leading rusher in spite of being good and sick. The Seahawks had their backup in at QB. I would expect the backup to Hurts to be good enough to fill in while Hurts recovers especially going against a backup, but I guess their brain trust didn't think so.
Since the Steelers last Super Bowl appearance, there’s been 18 teams with more playoff wins than the Steelers (4+) and 22 teams with at least the same amount (3) Maybe it IS time to move on.
On top of the fact his knee is not right. He's wearing a big brace and that's not good for a QB that relies on mobility.
It's time, but there ain't no chance the Steelers fire him. Zero. Steeler fans are stuck with Tomlin until Tomlin decides he wants to leave. Why would he leave when he has the people who sign his check conditioned to believe that not losing more than you win is the standard?

There are a couple tasty jobs out there. The Chargers are a very good situation ( on paper ) Franchise QB ( maybe ) Good Defense ( sometimes ) and an owner who needs to right the ship with more than one team in town. I don't think Belly Tricks is going there, his age alone in L.A. doesn't fit. Weirder things have happened.
Anywhere Tomlin might be enticed to go are going to expect him to win and win in the playoffs. For the past seven years Tomlin has displayed conclusively he doesn't know how to do that.
Clock management? No.
Halftime adjustments? No.
Discipline? No.
Fundamentals? No.
Game prep? No.
He has a dream job where none of that is expected of him. He has zero reason to leave.

Austin is still around but obviously not any good at it, and he isn't any good as a DC that he was originally hired for. Obviously just a Tomlin puppet.
Speaking of Austin, just take a look at his track record in the NFL as a DC and you'll be left scratching your head why he was hired by the Steelers. Oh, I know. He's Tomlin's buddy.
Over here, the guy who owns the friggin team even acknowledges Tomlin needs help with clock management, again four years ago: Steelers assistant could help Mike Tomlin with replays, clock management.
