I was rooting for KC, but I'm happy for Jalen Hurts. He's always seemed like a really solid guy. And he made a bunch of great throws tonight.
I forgot Kenny landed in Philly. He'll be sending a thank you card to Tomlin I'm sure, and Art.

I definitely had chiefs fatigue. Hats off to them they’ve been a great team for years.
However, this chiefs team was VERY frustrating as a general football fan. They just as easily could have won 9 or 10 games this year if a few of the 50/50 breaks had gone the other way. They wouldn’t have even made the superbowl if the play calling by the Bills wasn’t awful, running about 10 tush push plays when it was clear they couldn’t do it successfully and when it was clear the chiefs couldn’t stop Bills RB Cook.
It seemed like their winning was inevitable even though this was not a great chiefs team and one of the worst Super Bowl teams in a long while. They just kept winning and opponents just kept helping them win games with stupid unforced errors.
Congrats to the eagles, and to the chiefs for many years of success.

I don’t have anything against the Chiefs, but from the moment Chris Jones agreed to a lesser deal than expected, just to win a third one, I started actively rooting against them. Frankly, for all their supposedly not talking about a third SB, the way they played all year looked like they felt entitled to it.
I'm sick to death of the Travis & Taylor circus, but I was still pulling for the Chiefs. (Salute to Fox for not showing TS every fifteen seconds like most of the other networks did for the past couple of years.)
Mahomes reminded us Cardinals fans of Kyler Murray...had the Happy Feet going, and threw the ball into the turf several yards short of the receiver multiple times.
I'd completely forgotten Andy Reid had been the Eagles coach until the 3rd quarter, when they mentioned that Sirianni got his start in KC.
And props to both Mahomes and Kelce for manning up and taking responsibility for their dismal performances, admitting they were simply outplayed, and not blaming their dismal performance on anything (or anybody) else.

Putting aside the fact they're from the crummy side of Pennsylvania, 
, I'm good with the Eagles winning the Super Bowl. I don't recall any of their players being in the news for socially unacceptable behavior or other legal problems. They didn't seem like a bunch of loud mouths in the media. They looked to me like a bunch of football players, which is cool by me.
The game was on and off the TV where we were last night. I stopped and paid attention now and then for the sole reason I wanted to hear Tom Brady call one more game. I thought he did great and his perspective as a recent player, playing these very teams in the Super Bowl was, to me, awesome. Although the Eagles team he lost to was vastly different from this one. Him and Mike Pereira going back and forth about officiating was funny.

If you'd have told me before the game that the Chiefs would hold Saquon to 57 yards rushing and still get thoroughly stomped I'd have had a hard time believing it. But by being SO committed to holding Saquon in check, Hurts did what he had to do and made them pay. So simply by his presence, Saquon had a major effect on the game.
I'm not a big fan of the Eagles (having grown up in Western PA); but as a Penn State grad, I was really happy to see Saquon get a ring. He's a class guy. But MAJOR kudos to that Eagles defense as well!!

We saw the same thing happen at Penn State. Teams that committed to shut down Saquon, left other defensive holes that burned them.

I wasn't really rooting for anyone this game but Hurts showed tons of class when he got benched for Tua at Alabama and then came in to win the SEC championship the next season (both times against UGA). But really, so many of these players seem to have great character. A nice mix of confidence and humility. It's good to see.
This is true. There are some situations where folks attend events like this with the intention or stirring up civil disorder and don't actually care about the reason people are gathered to begin with. I highly doubt legit Eagle fans arrived downtown last night with the intention to burn up cars and tear up the city in that way. Things get rowdy, people drink too much, next thing you know the place is on fire and the police are called in to restore order. Unfortunate.As if Philly is the only city to get ridiculous in celebration. Vancouver's 2011 Stanley Cup celebration has it's own Wiki article.
Anyway, I'll post pics from the parade on Friday.

100% right.
Young people (mostly) + extreme emotions + alcohol = rarely a good outcome. There is definitely a bias against Philly. It's the city that everyone loves to hate and people focus on that and forget everything else. Just a year ago, for instance, there was a shooting at the Chiefs parade that left almost 2 dozen people shot.
