NFL 2024-2025

100% right.

Young people (mostly) + extreme emotions + alcohol = rarely a good outcome. There is definitely a bias against Philly. It's the city that everyone loves to hate and people focus on that and forget everything else. Just a year ago, for instance, there was a shooting at the Chiefs parade that left almost 2 dozen people shot.
Well hey now, youn'z are also the ones who booed Santa Claus. :)
There's even a Wiki about it.

I'm sick to death of the Travis & Taylor circus, but I was still pulling for the Chiefs. (Salute to Fox for not showing TS every fifteen seconds like most of the other networks did for the past couple of years.)
I strongly suspect this had less to do with the network than the outcome. Taylor is almost always shown when there's celebrating, and Chiefs fans had no reason to do that. By the time KC scored, the game was essentially over.

Haha, Bill Cowher stirring the pot for Steeler fans: First Call: Bill Cowher expects Steelers to have 'dialogue' about Aaron Rodgers.
Russell Wilson is reportedly moving on, so why not replace him with another washed up and washed out QB.
In the meantime, I am going to call Kerry Collins. He's a PSU grad who may enjoy resurrecting his career in his home state.

In other Steelers news....

And who told you that
Seriously? Maybe it was Flacco and the Mannings talking about how their wives were afraid to go to their games in Philly. Or the Philly bar owner where chief fans watch games that shut down for the super bowl and told his customers to stay home for their own safety. Or the guy in the video cussing out the woman that dared to wear a packer jersey to a game. That's just off the top of my head of recent stuff. Maybe when you're in it that stuff doesn't sound weird.

Again, I thought this was common knowledge. I'm not sure why adults get so emotionally invested in pro sports teams. The players will drop you for a better contract and the owners will bolt for a better stadium in a heartbeat. Rams in St Louis, Cardinals in Arizona, Colts in Indy, Raiders in a different city every season. Of course it works both ways. See the post about Tomlin above.

I like to watch a good game. The players are amazing. The NFL represents the peak of human performance. The fans that act like they were the ones hitting the weight room at 4 AM everyday when they're team wins, not so much. Along with the betting, fantasy, virtue signaling...I fast foward through most of that stuff.

Enjoy the parade. I mean that. Super Bowl wins are hard to come by.

Signed, an old Falcon fan.

I've always been under the impression Philly fans took pride in being the most obnoxious. I didn't know there was anyone trying to deny it.
I have been to exactly 1 game at Lincoln Financial stadium and I was sucker punched in the restroom.

I’m not going to say that’s representative of every fan because I no it’s not. But I will say when Eagles fans come to Atlanta they don’t get slugged at the toilet.

I’ve been in the bleachers at Oakland in the old Raider Nation. I went to a Jets game last year, all these are Falcons away games. Sat surrounded by Jets fans and we had a blast.

I’m not hating. I am an over enthusiastic fan too. But Eagles game is the only time in my life I’ve felt unsafe at a sporting event.

Congrats to Eagles on the season. It was a great win. My Falcs beat them on Monday night lol.

I went to Ga Tech and a salesman let me use his season tickets to an FSU game at Tallahassee. 50 yard line on the FSU side. Just dad and me in a sea of garnet and gold. No problems. I think they took pity on us. It was in the Bobby Bowden glory days and Charlie Ward made us look like a high school team. We're in the heart of SEC country surrounded by UGA, AL, Auburn, TN and FL fans. Through in some Clemson looneys. These are the most serious of fanatics but nobody's afraid to go to an away game. Everybody tailgates together.

An Eagle fan sucker punching a Falcons fan is like a jock picking on a special needs kid. The falcony Falcons are going to falcon things up in the most falcony way possible. It's the only constant in the universe. No need to pile on.
