I honestly think that Vikings team losing was a much bigger upset than the 2007 Pats losing the Super Bowl. The 2007 Giants were gaining steam over the last half of the season, and a lot of people had them pegged as the one team with a serious chance of beating the Pats.

The Vikings lost because the law of averages caught up with Gary Anderson at the worst possible time. The Falcons didn’t beat them, and they really didn’t beat themselves. It was just dumb luck.

So true. John Randle got injured during the game too so I think that had a big impact. Chris Chandler shouldn't have looked like Joe Montana on the road against that very underrated D.
