NFL 2024-2025

I am just happy to have speculative articles out of my news feed. I'm neutral on Smith, but incredibly positive on it not being Rodgers or Cousins or one of the many bad options out their for the Raiders, so I'll take the potential win there. Not awesome but could be a lot, lot worse.

I think John Schneider is one of the better GM's in the league. I don't recall many mistakes he made with players on the roster. If he thinks it was time for Geno to move on and he found a team to take him while getting something back instead of having him walk away for nothing, I'm going to trust Schneider.
Geno is a good guy and knows how to play the position, but he also throws a lot of interceptions. Sad to see him go, but he's not irreplaceable.

Geno is a nice comeback story, but they were never going to be a contender with him at QB and he's going to turn 35 during the next season.

Yep, my feelings exactly. It's been a while since Seattle had a great O line, that's got to be job one IMO.

Cart before the horse 101, and this will make Georgie cry.
Unless they have a deal lined up next for a franchise QB, this will be one of the dumbest moves ever for the Steelers. I thought the Duce Staley signing was bad.

I'm thinking they don't expect Pickens to be around after next year, which is a reasonable expectation.

I don't know who they can get as a franchise QB now. Fields is diving into free agency, so it doesn't look like the Steelers were offering him enough. Russ is, well we've seen what he is. Nobody else out there gets me at all excited and they are in no position to draft any of the few decent prospects.

This is looking like another 9-8 year to keep the streak alive.

So, a pretty good regular season and then chokesville in the playoffs. Okeydokey!
I was thinking the same thing, but this is today's game. Guys get paid no matter if they're winners or losers. Justin Fields got benched for an old man and is still going to make $20,000,000 next season.

Maybe not even that. The Vikings had a really good offensive line and maybe the best trio of two WRs/1 TE in the league. Seattle is pretty far from that situation right now, and Darnold tends to hang on to the ball.

Check your times in the 40 buddy and grab some new cleats from Eastbay. John Schneider might be calling to see if you're available to play WR for him.
