Last year was an aberration. The Pack ended up winning only 4 games because they lost everyone of any significance on offense to injury. It wasn't just injuries to key players as much as it was having to put new players on the field every single week where they had no time to gel as a unit.
Take any team in the NFL and put a different RB in every game. Then do the same with the recievers (TE and WR). Keep replacing those players week in and week out. See what happens. You can't keep substituting the substitutes and expect to develop any cohesiveness on offense. It's a credit to the coaching staff...and Brett Favre especially, that GB was even able to compete at all.
This year WILL be different.
Is anybody else completely anxious for the draft to begin? I can't concentrate on work at all (maybe it's that combined with all the sore throat / sinus medicine I'm on...).

There are three different coaching staffs in place in that conference. The only stable CS is the Bears, the rest is a crap shoot. GB...lets face it Farve is a shell of his former self. The coaches and the CS of the visqueens are rookies. The Lions have Martz and Donnie Henderson going for them...Kitna and McCown as Qb's since Sloey Harrington is now soon to be a Dolphin...we couldn't be happier I would like to add. But I'll take my chances saying Detroit may finish second with guys like Martz and Henderson as our coordinators and Marinelli as the HC (all have won superbowls
) then some of these very green and unproven coaches in Minn and GB.

In what way is Favre a "shell of his former self"? Hmmm, he's in the best shape of his life (remember he's never missed a game). His arm strength is still good enough to break fingers and still has one of the best arms in the league. Plus he has more experience than any QB in the division...hell, the NFL.
I can see where a QB that takes a pounding year in and year out wears down physically, but he's actually in better shape than he's ever been in.
So wears this "shell of his former self" crap coming from? The fantasy league ESPN news jockeys? HA!
I agree about the coaching change thing though...that is an unknown. Still no way GB ends up in the cellar.

18. Dallas Cowboys - Bobby Carpenter (LB). There is a chance of the Giants being willing to trade up to grab Carpenter, if they like him that much. Dallas definitely wants to move down, but Carpenter could really add to a LB corps that was injured and shallow last year. Most people have Dallas going safety this round. I don't see that. Dallas will go offensive line in round 2, then secondary, (maybe safety, maybe corner), in round 3. If the Cowboys move down, (swapping with the Giants, and gaining a 3rd or 4th rounder), I see them taking a corner.
19. San Diego Superchargers - Antonio Cromartie (CB). San Diego is thin in the area of speed at corner. Jammer is so-so, and may never be better, (which should foretell the dangers of taking 2nd-tier first round corners, but ...
20. Kansas City Chiefs - Jason Allen (CB). It's secondary and running backs from here on out folks. All the stud receivers are gone, and the Chiefs probably wouldn't go that anyway, although it wouldn't hurt them. The future of this team is in Larry Johnson. Create a defense that can stop people, and they'll compete in their division.
21. New England - Manny Lawson (DE/OLB). I think that this will go down as a great pick. Lawson will have a chance to contribute right away, and will get solid coaching. I think he'll have a Lofa Tatupu (sp?)-type impact in his first year.
22. San Francisco 49ers - Jonathan Joseph (CB). They're aren't trade options available to the 49ers, but with so many needs they'd be smart to explore options. Bottom line is that two first-rounders this year can really help this team improve. I think Alex Smith, (like Losman in Buffalo), is going to be a failure, on a bad team, so not too much that they do is going to help. But ...
23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Donte Whitner (S). This is a team that could take Nick Mangold, the center out of OSU, but teams have a hard time pulling the trigger on first round centers, and Gruden likes his offensive line older and offensive. He might be getting smarter, and realize they need the help, but Whitner has fallen from where people suspected, and he's a tremendous athlete that could really help the Bucs.
24. Cincinnati Bengals - John McCargo (DT). While the TE Marcedes Lewis is attractive, the Bengals don't need offensive help, they need defense. Besides, we know which side of the ball Marvin Lewis' allegiance is on.
25. New York Giants - Tye Hill (CB). Sure, they should add some LB depth, but with Carpenter and Sims long gone, who should they take? Don't draft for need, take the best player left.
26. Chicago Bears - Marcedes Lewis (TE). Adding a TE for QB security would tremendously help this team. Jive, who follows the Bears, of course, more closely than I do, may have some thoughts on this, and I'd pay attention to his pick, the guy knows football, but I really like what adding a strong TE can do for the Bears, and especially grabbing one in the nether regions of the first round. This could really help the Bears in the red zone, which would be key for this squad.
27. Carolina Panthers - LenDale White (RB). The wrong pick for Carolina. Take DeAngelo Williams. He'll be better. Carolina is blinded by White's supposed fit in their scheme. His flakiness this offseason scares me.
28. Jacksonville Jaguars - DeAngelo Williams (RB). This is a team in desperate need of a RB. Fred Taylor isn't reliable, although he's magnificent when he plays, so split duties back there. A guy like Williams is a great change-of-pace back that would open up the offense. The defense is stout, and should be allowed to continue to gel.
29. New York J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets - Maurice Drew (RB). This is a throwaway pick. I don't really think they'll take Drew, but they should. I love the guy. Great work ethic, good head. He went to my high school alma mater, (along with other NFLers like Amani Toomer, Doug Brien, DJ Williams, etc). Drew can contribute as a third down back and return man. He'd be a great pickup, but truth be told, New York will go with Joseph Addai (RB). (Just to be fair Jive, you can have a two-picker for a team, but just in the second half of the order. Sound fair?).
30. Indianapolis Colts - Laurence Maroney (RB). 4 RBs in a row!? Are you kidding?
31. Seattle Seahawks - Max-Jean Gilles (G). He won't be Hutchinson, but they could use a little depth now. Offensive line is a nice place to go this deep in the first round.
32. Pittsburgh Steelers - Sinorice Moss (WR). Only 3 WRs go in the first round this year. Pittsburgh would be happy with LenDale White falling to them, but it won't happen.

I did. Both of my uncles and three of my cousins all have season tickets. When the Steelers won, they won it for the rest of the Steeler "family" as well.
My Steeler "brothers" here at TB know what I'm talking about. I'm sure the GB fans do too. Teams like Dallas and San Francisco aren't like that. They were always in it for themselves. You guys wouldn't understand.
