Nah, any team that has it's offense gutted will still be able to perform like nothing happened.

Sundogue said:I bet they would lose 12 games if they lost their entire offense to injury. Keep in mind, that despite losing their offense to injury, of those 12 games the Pack lost 8 by a touchdown or less. That's with a six string RB and only one starting WR.

When they went 3-13, 7 of those games were lost by a touchdown or less. You should have heard the kitty fans crying those years.
Sundogue, my friend, that is what losing looks like. Just get used to it. It may just be your fountain of youth. When the Pack is sitting at the cellar you'll feel at least 10 years younger.![]()
wolfs said:It was more than just the injuries that had the Packers drop from Division champ to the cellar... as a GM, Sherman made some bad decisions: bad picks in the draft and paid out to a lot to players who didn't deserve it. Without having such a close cap, we might not to have lost both starting guards in free agency...
I think the Packers can put together a 9-7 season this year (I'd be really suprised if they do any better) with the talent on the roster and if they pick up two good starters in the draft. After that, I think we'll dip back down in 2007 as a new QB comes in, then we'll see if Thompson's made the right decisions regarding free agency and the draft in 2008... that will be measuring stick...
One, but not the only, reason that I'm glad Favre is coming back is to give Rodgers another year to learn the system... sitting Carson Palmer for two years worked out well for the Bengals.

jive1 said:Hey, you're also old enough to remember GB being perrenial cellar dweller. Ah, those were the days..........
Unless you're actually 15 like many of us suspect.![]()
Sundogue said:Aw c'mon guys, let's give credit where credit is due.
The only Norris division team that is a perennial cellar dweller is the Detroit Lions.
The rest are polite enough to take turns at the top (at least when GB is feeling generous that is).![]()

God Bless the Lions

cheezewiz said:Ya..but you gotta give the Bores and Packers credit for at least occasionally winning a playoff game. The Viqueens, even though they win the division once in a while, are INCREDIBLE playoff chokers. They may as well reside in the basement with the Kitties.
