NFL Week 11

I'm not trying to bash Favre completly here. He is looking ugly for Favre standards. He is an ironman in my book(I never said he wasn't). I wasn't trying to say that at all. The main stat that worries me about him would be the INTs. That is very unFavre like. As a Bears fan... it pains me to say this(ok it really doesn't) but Favre is my fav QB to watch. This season he isn't doing anything for me(compared to the magic he usually pulls out of his @$$).
I don't think the Bears-Packers game is going to be a slamdunk(none of the are) but at least it isn't a game I don't want to come around this year. Given how the Bears D is and how Favre has been struggling a bit(for Favre standards)... there could be a bit of trouble at hand. Of course you NEVER know how Orton will play. IMO the game comes down to how well the Bears offense does.

Oh.....you must mean '98 when Elway beat Favre by one touchdown. Hardly a spanking, more like a love tap and one of the more exciting superbowls I've seen. Remember '97 was when the pack won it's 3rd superbowl.

That 123 Yards Elway put up was a real spanking. That was a great game, but to say Elway was involved in any sort of spanking clearly didn't watch the game. I think the only spanking Elway did was AFTER the game.

It's true he's had to do that more this year because our #1, 3 and 4 receivers been out as has been our good hands #1, 2 and 3 backs. The result has been league-leading in INTs. Don't think that will change even if he plays another year or 2.
I think it's entirely possible the Bears' D causes fits for the green and gold. But I also think we've got a better offense than Caroline and can adjust and adapt. Problem is, we don't have the playmakers to make that happen. Advantage bears.

But the fact is, that if you're making arguments about schedules, the Bears are certainly benefitting from an easier ride than most good NFC teams. Yesterday's win was great, but other than that, they have no wins over good teams, let alone elite ones. If your main point is that the NFC has no elite team, then by all means, I agree. But what I think is more important is that although the Bears' schedule has been easy - they shouldn't have to apologize for it, nor should the Seahawks or anyone else. Winning ball games and securing a playoff berth is all that matters right now, and the Bears are doing that.
That said, I wouldn't pick the Bears to win the Conference. Rookie QBs just can't be counted on to last through the season and into the playoffs. Believe me, I watched it all fall apart for the Steelers last year, and this is all too familiar.

I pretty much concede the Division to the Bores right now. The Lions are way to inconsistent, and the Viqueens may actually finish below the Packers (that is, if there is any justice in the world). The Bores could go .500 or even worse from here on in, and will still win the North.

I did clearly watch the damn game, though I was about 9 at the time. Your not from here so you don't even have a clue. Your hero Favre was talking trash on MS radio those few weeks before the superbowl about how he was gonna make the broncos cry. yeah he sure did
But back to "Ironman" , a real Ironman , he does quite a few interviews on local radio and shows himself to be a real ass. A genuine redneck . Talks about spitting, dipping and fart jokes. A real ironman type. His small amount of talent is overshadowed by his moronic mouth.

No matter how much you tell me I ain't gonna give him any credit for anything he's done. Him and the Mannings are QBs I can't stand. Oh what can I say, ole "ironman" is having a great season isn't he? I'll hush up now before more of the packer fans start to hate me.

I don't want to assume, but I believe one of those statistics is directly responsible for the other.

Not liking a player is absolutely fine. But don't expect to be taken seriously in a football discussion if you're so seriously hell-bent on refusing to acknowledge the abilities of future first-ballot hall of famers. Just a word of advice from someone who isn't really a Packers fan.
Personally, I HATE Tom Brady. But I'm not going to deny that he has three Super Bowl rings. This is pretty much the same sort of discussion (i.e. a ridiculous one).
