NFL Week #13

Cowboys got the win against Indy. I'd bet a lot of folks wouldn't have bet on that one.

:D

God Bless, Ray

I was pulling for them all the way though. 2 games divide the entirety of the AFC South, so even with us being a little below .500, we are still only a game or 2 back from a share of the lead.

Aaand the Colts are 6-6 and looking increasingly dodgy. Maybe they miss the playoffs this year ? It seems that with the way the Pats, Jets, Steelers, and Ravens are playing that 10-6 won't be good enough for the playoffs unless you win your division.

Well the way the AFC South has been playing, it seems like no one wants to win the division. I have a feeling that a 9-7 will win it outright and 8-8 will win it with tie-breakers in your corner.

And that was one tough game. Big hits, some scrapping, solid defensive play, and even a blocked punt.

YES!:hyper:

wow, hard to type with no fingernails. sheesh, ben got brutalized too.

Yep. No flag thrown after Ngata karate chopped Ben's nose half-way across his face. It wasn't intentional, but the damage was done.

There was a lot of questionable officiating in this one. We're fortunate to have pulled out the win, but we paid a heavy price. Flozell Adams gets hurt with our two regular starting tackles already out on IR. Devastating helmet-to-helmet causing a concussion to Heath Miller. But also very damaging is the injury to Daniel Sepulveda. He's one of the best punters in the league. It was good to see Keisel back in there though. And Troy always seems to make at least one huge play every game.

Heath got hit with a forearm and shoulder

I was really surprised at the lack of calls in that game. Especially on the hammer fist and the hit on unprotected Heath. It only seemed like calls came on big plays, and all the little little things got let go. Very few interference calls when a few more were deserved IMO.

I can't wait for the onslaught of Steeler's fans to change their stories on the helmet to helmet stuff though.

I missed the Steelers game for the most part. I had to catch a flight to Phoenix. I did see from the start of the third to the Heath injury. Oh well, no biggie.

After seeing highlights, I have to say I am disappointed on the no-calls on the Ben and Heath plays. I suspect the league will make it right on Tuesday. Other than that, a typical Steeler/Raven game. I was very impressed with the Redman TD. Great determination from the young guy.

How 'bout dem Cowboys??? I am happy for Jason Garrett. I would have never picked the Cowboys to win. Like Rodney Harrison said tonight.....maybe Jones should have fired Phillips two months ago.

How do you mean, and you talking about me? As you said, hands to the face and hitting a defenseless receiver is what I saw on those two plays.

Got to see some good games this weekend, for sure .....

Boy, the Saints sure aren't showing anything special, except for the last 60 seconds of these games. Note to other teams: do not let the score be within a TD and give the Saints the ball with under two minutes left .... ;)

Not to take anything away from the Cowboys, 'cause they sure have made a dramatic turn-around, but what the heck is up with the Colts

Steelers-Ravens was a great game :D

Looking forward to the Jets - Pats tonight, too ...

the cowboys are obviously a better team than their record indicates. phillips shoulda been gone after they went 0-4 to the jags.

i mean, -i- wish he was still there heh. but as far as the team goes they would have a winning record now, i think, if they got rid of him after the jags game.

gotta say, too, ben was a machine, considering the shape he was in. i was very impressed with his performance last night in the face of damage he was experiencing. that's the ben that inspires me.

can't wait til next week - let's see if ben can keep it up. :D. the beagles are a great team to come of this kind of rough game to.

Change our stories??!! Nope. Just some consistency, that's all. Like I said, I don't think it was intentional when Ngata splattered Ben's nose. But it was a clear shot to a QB's head. Reverse the roles and imagine that it was Harrison busting Flacco's nose. And on the Miller hit, was the guy TRYING to give Miller a concussion. No, but the result was there. The ball was clearly past Miller (not caught) when the 2nd Raven came in and concussed him. (Defenseless receiver.) Again, imagine that it had been Harrison hitting Bolden or Houshmanzada.

I think those guys will probably both get fined. BUT... A 15 yard penalty and a first down on both of those plays would have helped the Steelers a great deal. The head of officials already said that there should have been a penalty on the hit on Miller. Again, just show a little consistency...
