I gotta hand it to you, you saw something when nobody else did. And while you were wrong, you were closer to reality than I was. Flynn has a bright future in the league.

I've actually seen Matt Flynn practice. He's been in GB for three years now and knows the system and practices behind Rodgers much like Rodgers did behind Favre. While Flynn is an unknown to the rest of the league he isn't to GB or it's fans.

Flynn was a steal in the draft.

Brady deserves MVP.

While we lost, it was an awesome game to watch and came right down to the very last play. :cool:

Gotta disagree there. I didn't see the whole game but I saw Tebow make some pretty nice throws -- including a beautifully thrown sure touchdown that the receiver dropped in the end zone. I'm not a Bronco fan one way or another but I really believe that this kid Tebow has "something." He is one of those kinds of people who figure out a way to succeed and I wouldn't bet against him.

As a Bears fan, I'm genetically compelled to hate the Pack and for the sake of our playoff aspirations, I'm glad they lost but what a great game! Flynn really impressed me and I'm sure he impressed some folks around the NFL -- I think he may not be Rogers' backup for long. Kudos to the Packers for not laying down to Brady and the Pats.

What a disaster of a week this was :help:

In addition to the complete and total collapse of the Giants, my weekly pics were horrendous .... clearly, I don't have a handle on anything ....

The thing that really burns my butt with the Giants game is that the Eagles were handed that victory by the idiotic "protect the lead enough to avoid losing" concept that the Giants use. You can not mess around with the Eagles, and if you don't stick the knife in their heart when you can (and as often as you can), they will do exactly what they did yesterday.

The Giants can still take the wild card with a W next week, but seeing how the Packers played against NE, that game is certainly not an easy W.

Crazy disappointed with the Giants .... :atoz:

I gotta ask ... what is it like in New York media (radio & TV) today in the aftermath of the game? I'm sure Coughlin and Matt Dodge (the punter) are getting ROASTED!

FWIW, I place this loss firmly at the feet of Coughlin. He simply go out-coached in this one. (Although if the Iggles had lost this game, Reid would have to take some heat for failing to throw the challenge flag on the Jackson fumble. He was clearly "down by contact" and a reversal there would have kept Giants points off the board.)

Kudos to you man, you almost nailed it and I (as a Pats fan) was really sweating it. Flynn showed composure and poise- he can be really good.

I agree about Brady as MVP, but there are many who will vote for the dog killer.

Steelers didn't play too bad after the first play of the game. They've still got life, especially when they get Troy back. Colts looked better today, and actually ran the ball well, which was kind of shocking. As much as I'd like to continue to hate the Pats, most of that has turned to a healthy respect at this point. They're good, and if anyone beats them in the playoffs, it will be a serious accomplishment. The Giants just flat out choked, no other explanation for it.

Game ball to Dan Connolly for rumbling down the sideline on his way to a record-setting (for a lineman) 73-yard kickoff return in the Pats-Pack game. It gave the Pats a spark, yet their defense was on the field way too much in this game. Major kudos to the Pack for an excellent game plan, and the Pats making uncharacteristic mental mistakes which was almost their undoing. Belichick was right when he said they'd better play a lot better than this, or they won't get far come playoff time. Teams looking for a QB certainly sat up and took notice of Matt Flynn after his performance last night. Arizona? Seattle? Denver?

For a long while after the Eagles win yesterday afternoon, I was speechless. At halftime, I was happy I wasn't able to watch the game on TV where I live. At the end of the game, I would have given anything to have been able to watch it. For the Eagles to come back after halftime down 24-3, to be down the same 21 points midway through the fourth quarter, and score 28 points to win the game is just nuts. Very happy with the Eagles right now- that win taught us not to give up on a game no matter how bad it looks. Fly Eagles Fly!

While the Steelers have clinched a playoff berth, they really need to win out to avoid having to play a Wild Card schedule in the playoffs. With the remaining teams on the schedule, it's possible for them to do. But they seem to be missing something, and they need to play much better than what they've been showing to win out. It sure doesn't help that Troy will probably be out until the playoffs. He always seems to make at least one big play when it's needed.

I don't know what happened to our linebackers against the Jets. Rarely did you see Woodley, Harrison, etc. in Sanchez's face. Good job by the Jets O-line, while our O-line remains in an injury-riddled shambles. Sure wish the Steelers would get healthy fast...

Even though the drive ended with two incomplete passes, Ben made some huge plays to get them into scoring position converting a 3rd and 24 and a 3rd and 18 on the final drive. It all lined up for a 24-22 win. Definitely an exciting ending.

I can't really find anyone to blame for the loss. Ryan Mundy didn't play his best game filling in for Troy, so maybe him? The defense got schooled on a couple play fakes, so maybe them as a unit? Jonathan Scott for giving up the safety? Eh, it's not worth it to ponder any longer. The Jets had a game plan when they stepped on the field, so kudos to Rex Ryan and his players for executing it better than Tomlin and his players.

That's just what I was thinking! We always sesm to have talented QBs coming out of our ears.

FYI, heard the Gopher field in Skinneapolis was hard as a rock for the game tonight. Looking forward to watching the game tonite.

I like Matt Flynn coming out of LSU; it was kind of funny to hear the talking heads speaking about him as if he was a nobody. IIRC, he did well at the combine, as well.

Raiders won! But so did the Chiefs, and the Chargers this week. Playoff hopes are becoming a dim vision in the mirror. Colts and Chiefs coming up the next two weeks; looks like we'll possibly finish the season 8-8. Which makes me quite happy, considering the past decade or so.

Philly/NY put on quite a show. Thanks, guys, for giving me an entertaining morning.
