It would have been great to have Leinart QB for us, but with the #26 pick there was no chance the Bears would have gotten him. If we were to trade up to get him, we would have lost our 2nd rounder, and probably another first rounder in the future. If we lost our 2nd rounder, we wouldn't get Manning and Hester. Hester has won games for us, and with the injury to Mike Brown, Manning has been helpful. Also, Leinart would have cost big bucks, and the Bears need the cap room to resign Lance Briggs. Briggs is a key in the Bears D, and I'd love to see them keep him.

Anyway, It's a great year to be a Bears fan.

Playing in the NFC is a delusion.
The toughest team the bears have played so far have been the Patriots and of course they are AFC. If the Bears were an AFC team , they would be sitting with the jags and bungles , hoping someone loses so that they can get in the playoffs.
I almost want the Bores to get to the superbowl so I can see whichever AFC team it is, hand their ass to them on a comerative, orange and navy collectable plate, one that , in the center has a picture of Rex Grossman handing the ball to an opposing player whilst sporting a big grin on his face.



And , just being curious here.....I'm no fan but, why does everyone hate the Vikings?

Now see, I was marking the contrasts in the current uniforms. The old school Broncos unis look nothing like the Bears. Thats not navy blue on Elways head, that royal blue. Also, the jersey is orange. When have the Bores had orange jerseys?

Actually I think that those umm.... ladies ....umm got lost on their way to Cincy.....umm..

I am so glad that Aaron Brooks went to Oakland. It makes it so much fun to watch Oakland with my friends who LOVE the raiders. I giggle a lot during those games.

'cause they're a terrible organization with smug fans yet they hardly ever sellout their dome and the team can never win the big ones... plus, there's just something meanspirited about a lot of the vikqueen fanbase...

that said, i do think pat williams and kevin williams are pretty awesome :hiding:

In the early days of the American Professional Football Association, the predecessor of the NFL, uniforms are primitive. Brown leather helmets offer little protection, and many players refuse to wear them. Pants are made of brown canvas; jerseys are made of wool. For the Bears' uniform colors, team founder George Halas chooses navy and orange - the same as his alma mater, the University of Illinois. Strips of material are sewn onto the front of the players' jerseys to help them hold onto the football, which is fatter and harder to handle than the modern version. The player's number is on the back of the jersey only.
Late in this decade the team appears to have reversed the coloring of the jersey, making orange the dominant color with navy striping. Unfortunately, no jerseys from this era are known to exist.

YES!!!!!!!!

Today is my 11 year wedding anniversary. What an awesome way to start my day!! Awesome, awesome, awesome to see the Steelers pull one out in Cincy and send them Bungals HOME for the playoffs.

I will give Cheezwhiz credit though when he told me a few weeks ago that the Steelers would be lucky to finish 8-8. We were lucky that Graham missed that 39 yard field goal to win it with 12 seconds left.

Nevertheless......I'll take it! What a way to finish a dreadful season.
