You're right, it's not the same team. The don't have Randy Moss anymore. That's really the only difference in the team.
C'mon Jon, that whole "they're not the same team" makes it sound like they started the season crappy then suddenly turned it around.
The Pats have been consistent all season. They beat the Bengals in game 1, then lost to the Jets in game 2. After game 2 they went on a 5 game tear. Lost to the Browns (a crappy team) in week 9, then won their last 8. Other than Moss not being there, it's pretty much the same team.
The biggest difference between the Patriots through the Brown's loss and all the games since then is that the first half of the season the defense let in an average of 23.5 points per game. After the Browns game they have averaged 15.6.
I don't know about you, but to me that is huge.
