NHL 2013 post season thread!

I've played Hockey on a regular basis my whole life. 46 years old, I'm on the ice a average 4 hours a week .
Locker room talk is disgustingly racist on a regular basis.

I've attended Bruins games my whole life.
You'd be ashamed to hear what SO many fans refer to PK Subban in 2013.Right out loud,In the garden. Next to the next generation.

(I'm a big fan of his.. best feet in the league IMHO)

I REALLY hope we groom his little bro up to be our goalie. I SO want to sit in the stands then.

I play NHL 13 online on a very regular basis with a friend and the amount of racists we encounter is staggering. Without any exaggeration whatsoever, at least 1/3 of the teams we play have racist names that are not only blatant but would make anybody with a conscience shake their heads in disappointment and embarasment for being in the same race as these people.

This guy should be fired for doing this.

And it proves my point which I've mentioned quite often that Subban is one of the most hated players in the NHL simply because of the color of his skin.

Sad but I know the human race too well to know that it's mostly too true.

I know you say the pens were off their game, but maybe the attacking style of the Islanders had something to do with that.

I think the Pens poor play had everything to do with it. This Pens team struggles with "in your face" hockey, and that is exactly what the Islanders did. Personally, I think the Pens got away with one tonight.

I have a hard time finding fault with how Nabokov played in this series after game one, as you also noted.

The Isles definitely have no reason to hang their heads. They played a tough series, and probably should have sent it to a Game 7 tonight. I thought they played well enough to win.

In the O/T, they were really applying the pressure. At one point, I thought to myself, "I have a feeling that despite all this good pressure by the Isles, any minute now Pittsburgh is gonna' get it into the other end and win it."

Congrats to both teams. The Isles really stepped it up this year...

I need a shower after watching that Rangers-Caps game. Phew! Huge NYR victory, launching us into Game 7 tomorrow.

It has been nothing but victory for the home teams thus far, so it will be interesting to see how the Rangers respond in Washington for that Game 7.

Seems like the Rangers haven't been able to avoid these Game 7's ever since last year's post-season.

I second the "depends on who you go see" sentiment.

Hockey Town... Red Wings in the playoffs and you'll lose your mind watching the game. No matter who you're rooting for.

It's an old stadium but awesome experience.

I've only ever been to a minor league game in comparison. In New Haven, CT. 20+ years ago.

But Red Wings playing in JLA? Any. Day. Of. The. Week.

And Twice on Sunday!!!

All that work in the reg season now the ducks are standing around. No heat on their offense they need to wake up. 9 min left.

The Wings played the best D I think I've ever seen in the last two periods of that game. And Howard came up big too. Nothing against the Ducks (who I believe are a better team), but the Wings D kept them from mounting many serious charges from the neutral line, the only thing the Ducks had was chase and dump and they weren't effective at that. The Red Wings forecheck was exceptional. The Red Wings also gave major minutes to 6 rookies, this has to be a great experience for them.

As far as Chicago, Chicago's a far more talented team, the only position where I think the Wings are better is goaltending. But the Wings played them fairly tough most of the season. And I suspect their is more pressure on Chicago than Detroit. Having said that, I'd be surprised if this young Wings team can beat the Hawks.
