Well then. I'm not sure why the wheels fell off at this point in the season.
I'm not giving up hope. Time for a few former Pens to step up and deliver when it is needed most.

The officiating has been questionable all playoffs long regarding the Caps as far as I'm concerned. I've never seen so much stickwork not being called. Constant slashing and whacking by Eller, Connolly, Oshie, Kuznetsov, Niskanen, and no calls. Yesterday, late in the third, I saw SIX stick infractions in a row against the Knights without a call, but back down the ice and as soon as Kuznetsov gets hooked, up goes the ref's arm. Not a conspiracy theorist but I don't understand the leniency with this team from the Columbus series on.

I've always been a big fan of Trotz over the years, but I'm losing respect for this clown lately. Putting out the #1 PP unit with a 5-2 lead and two minutes left was classless. Hope these guys choke away the Cup!

I think I heard something like 85% of teams that go up 3-1, win the series.

And I just did some googling, no team has ever come back from a 3-1 deficit in the finals.
Closest thing was the 1942 Leafs coming back from 3-0... which now that I think about it, was obviously 3-1 at some point, lol

The Islanders are cleaning house. After 12 years, Snow is out as GM and Weight is down the road.
I didn't realize Lamoriello is 75 years old. I thought Rutherford in Pittsburgh was old at 69.

And I kinda figured that would happen, they need it. Snow was a failure, and if in discussions with Tavares, he mentioned he didn’t like the coach, thn Lou would certainly have decided he should drop some Weight.

JT has been there eight years, and they're still struggling to become a playoff team most years, let alone become a real competitor for the Cup. I think his loyalty is important for a character guy like him, but at the same time he wants to win. Don't see it happening too soon on the Island.

JT has been there eight years, and they're still struggling to become a playoff team most years, let alone become a real competitor for the Cup. I think loyalty is important to him (based on nothing other than speculation, lol) but if he sees the firings as a team setting themselves up to be winners, I think he’ll re-sign. Wouldn’t blame him a bit to see what free agency has to offer, but I think that if he feels, even remotely, that there is light on the horizon with the new changes, he’ll stay.

I’m sure he and Lou are having some very long conversations about the future.
