What a great game for a hockey fan. I'm glad that I don't have a "favorite" in this final series - I'd be a nervous wreck, no matter which team I was rooting for.
Holtby was huuuuuge. 37 saves on 39 shots on goal. Especially"THE SAVE" with less than 2 minutes to go.

I’m so with you in this! With no horse in the race, I can only win in this series!
I’ll admit to wanting to see the VGK’s Cinderella story come to the ultimate happy ending, but if not, Ovie’s toothless grin hoisting the cup would be ok with me too.
That save... if the Caps win this series, that will be the reason why. Wow. Just.... wow.
I’m with you. Can’t choose. Really like Ovie, but the Cinderella story is compelling. Just enjoying great competition.
On another tack, When Ovie retires, don’t you think he’d make a great Russian mobster in the movies?

Caps looked like they did against TB...closing off the middle of the ice and forcing the Knights against the boards. Other than Neal's opening goal, most of the Vegas forwards seemed tentative...time after time they'd cross the blue line then hesitate as to whether to shoot or pass. That half a second allowed the Caps D to take away even more space, thwarting most of Vegas' offensive rushes.
And yeah, that save will likely be a moment that could define this series. Unfortunately.
Overall, Vegas does not have that swagger they had in the first three series...here's hoping they get it back rather quickly.
Ryan Reaves became my favorite player for a split second after nailing Wilson in the mouth.

These finals look like a war of attrition to me. Last team standing will take the cup. It's good to see the ref's letting them play the game the way it is supposed to be played with hard hitting and strong aggressive play.
Let's hope that the officials continue to let them play and we should be in for a great cup final.

What will be really interesting is how the rest of the league is going to react to the VGK's approach to team building. I can't help but think that the NHL is going to be going the route of MLB where the sluggers and high priced players don't have the league wide clout they used to have. Why pay out large amounts of cash to single players when obviously approaching team development as team has netted VGK a place in the final.

Well, Fleury has been looking human these last few games.
Um, Mr Marchessault? Do you think you can show up tonight? From Conn Smythe candidate to 'didn't he used to be pretty good?' Trouble is, he's not the only Golden Knight to pull a disappearing act this past week. C'mon boys, step it up. It'll be soooo much nicer going back to Vegas tied at 2-2 than down 3-1.
Hell, the first 3 lines and Fleury haven’t shown up for the finals.
This is a must win, imo. If they go down 3-1, they’ll never come back to win it.
Game 4 (unless someone is leading 3-0) is the most important game in a series. The difference between 3-1 and 2-2 is astronomical.
I think I heard something like 85% of teams that go up 3-1, win the series.
Not really enjoying it so far. BTW, am I the only one who thinks it's classless to "serenade" the visitor's goalie early in the game? Maybe if he gets pulled but IF VGK comes back, Caps fans will look kinda silly (face/egg) Update during 2nd intermission: Then again..............

I think the glass slipper has brokenGotta say, I’m happy to see Vegas in a bit of a pickle now. Right from game 1 I was vacillating which between the two I was going to get behind. By the beginning of game 3, I was Caps.
