Las Vegas gets a goal to tie it with less than a minute left, then beats Nashville in Nashville. They had to go and give up a point to do it, but that's a solid win for a team most people said would be bad this season.
Not me though. With Neal, Fleury, and Engelland on the roster, I knew they'd be good.

Leafs score 34 seconds into the first Period, and hold on for a 1-0 win over McDavid’s Oilers... with our backup getting the shutout. And Matthews out with an injury. Didn’t see that coming.

Oilers must have hit the post 8 times.

Just you wait. If the Pens make the playoffs and find themselves up against Columbus, they'll do the same thing they did in 2014 and 2017....end the season for Dubinsky and his boys.

I'm hoping the Pens are just going through the typical December doldrums. But something tells me it's more than that. Nobody and I mean nobody looks very inspired lately. Even when Murray was healthy there was not that team swagger that a two-time defending Cup winner should have.

I still have no doubt they'll make the playoffs, but geez, something needs to be done. Waiting until the March trade deadline isn't something Rutherford does very often, he's usually proactive and gets in a deal or two well before that. But with this year's lack of depth...who do you move? Not many prospects left in the organization.

I, for one, look forward to the setting of the Pen’s sun. It’ll be a change of pace to have the Jackets ejected in the first round by the Caps instead.
