Oilers winnin ugly, up 6-1 early in the 3rd then get an empty netter to hold on 7-5.
Talbot out at least 2 weeks, Brossoit is not NHL caliber, hardly a passable backup. Larson is also on IR, our best (was gonna say #1, but he doesn't score any) Dman.
Season is pretty much down the drain ugh, have won 2 in a row once all season.

The Flames could have used SOMEBODY who can shoot straight last night. Gaudreau missed about 5 perfectly set up chances that he normally would have buried each and every time, and he wasn't alone. Anderson stole that game for the Leafs, IMO.

Wonder if Tkachuck will get a suspension for his little spear at Martin from the bench. Mind you, Martin probably should have gotten a p malty for the hit that started it.
Tkachuk is already a repeat offender for this type of infraction. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he gets a game or two.
Speaking of penalties, that could have been a penalty shot when Gaudreau hauled down Marner in the last minute or so of OT. He finally got called the second time he hauled him down later that same shift, but not much PP time to help the Leafs much.

Yup, that definitely should have been a call, don’t know what the ref saw from his angle, but watching Marner always makes me laugh, he spends a lot of time down on the ice, but he pops up quickwatchung him makes me think of the scarecrow from Wizard of Oz, lol
