Hey thanks, not for the loss but we'll see ya later on our home ice.
It was a pretty chippy game. It was great to see Rask get a win, it is a big confidence booster. It was also great to see the starters returning to the ice after time away with injuries. Although they are in 3rd at the moment, I see the B's are in a big scrum for the wild card spots and it looks like another year of just making or just missing the SCP. The only good thing about the injuries is that the kids are getting plenty of ice time and some of them are developing into decent players.
I went back and looked at the stat sheet you posted, we(the lightning) are still losing face-offs and too much passing and not enough shooting although the stats don't show sloppy and excessive passing, that's my concern with the first line-thanks again.
As Newt said, chippy game. Next one will likely be quite lively

Who watched/followed the Leafs-Oilers game last night?
Craziest game ever! Leafs up3-1, end up tied 4-4.. with 1:05 left, Oilers d-man, Kris Russell, right after scoring the tying goal, scores on his own net... Leafs end up winning 6-4 with a bonus empty netter.
Even as a Leafs fan, I felt bad for Russell, he’s an old school, heart and soul player, he was almost in tears talking to the press after, but he was right there, at his stall, waiting for the press to come in after the game. Much respect.
Having said that, Leafs win! 2 points,2nd in the east, off to Vancouver, smell ya later!

It was a fairly good game to watch. Pens D is still in pretty bad shape. Lots of bad giveaways and sloppy play that lead to decent opportunities for Buffalo. Jarry played a great game though and deserves that shutout. Hopefully Pens can shore up the blue line a bit, then the offense can solely focus on zone time. The PP needs to step up a bit too... they had a difficult time even entering the zone tonight. But the PK was great!
I was surprised that Eichel signed the 8 year, $10m per year contract extension this early in the season. I thought he would wait out the year. I don’t think he’d make more anywhere else, but with the Sabres constantly being a losing team, I wouldn’t blame him for testing free agency.
It’s like Tavares, for some reason, the media feels like a star player has to sign with the team that drafted him, and be there for life. Why? F loyalty, it’s about winning. If you look at your organization, and see no daylight, then go for a team that’s willing to pay, and have a legitimate chance of winning.
There’s plenty of great players that are in the league for 15-20 years, and never win a cup.
I wondered about that too. But maybe he see's something to make him think there are better days ahead. I know the new ownership in Buffalo is good, maybe there will be a turnaround. I hope so, great fans there, they deserve better.
Leafs lost 2-1 to the Canucks. Slow first period, then the ‘Nucks goalie standing on his head the rest of the game. Tough loss, but got 4 out of 6 points on a western road trip, I’ll take it.
