Picton, it was a thing of beauty. Carolina replaced goalie early in the first after 2 goals on 2 shots, one of which was a shorthander by Bergy, then new guy gives up 3 more before the period ends. It was one of those games where the B's could do no wrong and Carolina could do no right.

And I think I've decided the issue with Pens fans are you're spoiled. You're too used to being a contender every year.

Playing the Islanders is always a cure for the Pens ails. Other than the Carolina debacle, it's been a good week for us Pens fans...beating Philly, NYI, and Boston.

It was disappointing to see the Bruins run out of gas, and IMO it just wasn't a very good night for goaltenders, but it also showed that both of these teams have plenty of fight and resilience in them. It was a very entertaining game. If nothing else, the Bruins have shown in their last 2 games vs. the Pens that they can hang with them. Now it's a matter of which teams peak or fade heading into the playoffs, who has the hot goalie, and who is healthiest.
Rutherford is going to pull off a move and Sullivan will push the right buttons to steady the Pens. They'll surge into the playoffs and all the people who can't stand the Pens will be mad again.

"Hanging with the Pens" doesn't mean a whole lot this season
I had the same reaction as jimfist - back to back road game against a good team, I'll take the point. Last night, the Pens reminded me more of the Capitals who the B's got a loser point from a little while ago, than the Sens or Canes who the B's have been feasting on.

Both goalies were excellent (though Andersen is getting sloppy behind the net). But Bob saved, and stole the game, even after playing last night and facing 46 shots and an 8 round SO. Sheesh, you guys don't trust your backup?
