I didn't get to watch my Bruins tonight, but they're on an absolute tear: 7-1 over the 'Canes, with a four-goal performance by Patrice Bergeron.
Holy smokes.

Yay!Picton, it was a thing of beauty. Carolina replaced goalie early in the first after 2 goals on 2 shots, one of which was a shorthander by Bergy, then new guy gives up 3 more before the period ends. It was one of those games where the B's could do no wrong and Carolina could do no right.
Those lowly, no good anymore Pens went out and beat Boston Sunday.
Malkin with the OT game winner.
The Pens are now back in the playoffs, if the season ended today. Which it doesn't, so it's dumb to even talk like that.

"Hanging with the Pens" doesn't mean a whole lot this seasonIt was disappointing to see the Bruins run out of gas, and IMO it just wasn't a very good night for goaltenders, but it also showed that both of these teams have plenty of fight and resilience in them. It was a very entertaining game. If nothing else, the Bruins have shown in their last 2 games vs. the Pens that they can hang with them. Now it's a matter of which teams peak or fade heading into the playoffs, who has the hot goalie, and who is healthiest.
