I only caught the last ten minutes of the game, but I heard the second period was closer?
That top Bruins line really is special when they're on.
We're done, we might win a game, two if we're lucky, no one ya we can beat these guys 4 out of the next 5 games. We've looked totally outclassed and lost these two games.
And now with Kadri our for the two home games, we can't even get the matchups we want.
There was some moments of hope, Marleau with Mathews and Nylander in third for a some shifts looked like it has some potential, but our defense looks mostly brain dead and tired.
Hate to say it, Hope Komorav is out next game and leivo or even Martin gets put in.
And Zaitsev has been a disaster, scratch him and put Carrick in.

Yeah, they make the game look simple. The great ones always do. Second period was closer, really about even, but after the disaster that was the first it was too little too late.

The family and I are out west this week visiting my mom, so it looks like I'm going to miss the bruins and leafs series, at least live. I set the dvr to record games 2 - 4. So now I just have to avoid social media and you bums for the next week. And then when I get back have a Bruins marathon before a gsme 5 maybe??? Luckily Oregon doesn't give a carp about hockey. But they do know their coffee and beer!

Haha I did think about it and I love playoff hockey sooo damn much. But I just can't bring myself to rearranging family plans and have everyone accommidate what is still essentially the entertainment business, especially considering I see my mom about 2-4x a year now. But I did think about it haha. Its been really damn hard not to check the score from last night!
Yeah, after that steaming pile of poo that was the first period, Zaitsev may have to sit down for a bit. Kind of makes Monday's game a must win, things not looking good for our heroes....

Nope. The Pens don't have the right roster to compete in the playoffs.
It doesn't matter to me what any of those experts picked. In my opinion, there are people in these threads just as qualified as some guy on TV to make picks and comment on games.
In the meantime, enjoy the game three win.

MJ, One team cannot win the Cup, every year, for time eternal. It's the hardest trophy to win in sports.
It seems to me you don't find the joy in the game, it's simply "win the Cup, or it was a waste of a year"
You guys will take this series, mark my words... do you have any idea what I would give to see my team win a round? Just one round. It's been 14 years for us since we've played in the second round, and this is the 3rd time since then we even made the playoffs.
Appreciate what you have.
