NHL Regular Season 2017-18

Ok Leafs, that’s better. Hot game. Great show to watch. You T.O. Boys don't forget to pull for the Jets now.

I got your back!

And yeah baby, that’s the Leafs I remember!
And yes, they did keep the physical game going. And that paddle save by Andersen, are you kidding me!

And how many posts has Kappanen hit this series, lol?

I've been a hockey fanatic since 1975 and obviously have seen many thousands of games during those 43 years. Maybe it's just me, but this year's playoffs so far have been some of the most intense and hard-fought contests I ever remember seeing. Seems like almost every team has really kicked it up a couple of gears, and the speed and intensity are off the charts.

Great time to be a hockey fan! Game on!

Leafs fans may enjoy this Boston Globe column. Dan is primarily a baseball writer and he is the most acerbic of the Globe sportswriters. He is an acquired taste but whether or not you like him, the guy can write. I may have mentioned this before, but Leafs fans are basically pre-2004 Red Sox fans and Dan runs with that idea.

The paddle save reminded me of one that Tim Thomas had in against the Lightning in the 2011 Eastern finals. Good omen for Toronto but a little ominous for me. A lot has to go your way in order to win a Cup in any year, but the B's had more than their share of breaks that year.
