I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it won't be the Panthers-as usual.

Strangely, even though BB&T Center[or "Truist"Center(?)]is closer, I'm more likely to get to Lightning games by picking up my daughter in Orlando and driving to Tampa.

The B's or the Lightening for next year. I didn't think the B's would get this far this year (I figured the Toronto series was a not much better than a coin flip, and even if they won, TB would take them out - thank you Columbus!) so as crushing a loss that a Game 7 is, they are ahead of schedule. I'm not sure how many years Chara has left but Rask, Bergeron and Marchand (bad line change notwithstanding) are still a very productive core and Carlo, McAvoy, and Krug are good young defensemen who will continue to get better.

It will be an interesting offseason as the B's front office will have to be creative to be able to sign their young studs - it could mean Krejci and/or Krug is traded.

I'm thinking seriously that it might be time for the Bs to de-Eurify. A bit. Krejci, Rask, and maybe Pastrnak would all net a very good return like, say, a more consistent goaltender.

I think Krejci and Rask have gone as far as they can here. Pastrnak just isn't consistent.

With all due respect, really think the only reason Boston got as far as they did was due to Rask.

I agree. Rask should stay and I'd let Pasta continue to develop, I've seen the "coach lost patience with the young goal scorer, let's trade him for a bag of pucks" movie too often.

Krejci and Krug fit the Patriots mantra of better to move a player a year early than a year late.

When is Rask going to finally stand on his head in a deciding game?

Truthfully? Will it ever happen?

The Bs have ridden him faithfully for nearly ten years, except when Tim Thomas took his job and won the Cup. Tuukka is a great goaltender. But he'll never spearhead a run to the Cup for the Bruins.

If so, he'd have done it by now. Time to move on while he's still got good trade value.

Might be better to develop a team that can win the cup without counting on one guy to do it all by himself...

Moving on from a guy who can't bring it home when it matters? That might be part of that development process. Remember, I'd also get rid of Krejci and maybe Pasta.

And yes. It's not all on Rask. The top lines didn't show up. But they can. They have before. Rask never has. Marchand scores the World Cup winning goal for Canada, for example; Rask begs out of an Olympic semifinal with tummy trouble.

Enough.
