As a former New Yorker, I feel obligated to state that this behavior by the Boston fans is EXACTLY what I expected.
I may have gotten my South Floridian Green Card, but I was really deeply satisfied to see Boston lose. And to see that Brad Marchand was, essentially, invisible in the loss.
Marchand. I hated that guy for the majority of his career, but then developed a respect and liking for him over the past two years as he changed his game and became more of an offensive force. But it seemed like he reverted back to the old superpest during this postseason, and well, look where that got him.

Boston fans are not saturated with victory. They left early because they'd watched the game and projected the outcome.
The Bruins were not going to win last night. That was evident, even to this Bruins fan, with seven seconds left in the first period. They just didn't have it. Also, this market is often presented with the narrative that Rask is not a big-game performer, which was borne out again last night: he wasn't terrible, by any means, but he was by a LONG way the second-best goalie on the ice last night.
I think that Bruins fans can read the tea leaves when Tuukka is having "one of those games."

The only thing that disappointed me from the Boston fans last night was the little boy booing as Bettman announced the Conn Smythe winner. He was standing there with two thumbs pointed down, and while I couldn't hear him, it was clear he was booing.
Yeah, I get it, people like to boo Bettman for various reasons, but at this point he had moved on to congratulating O'Reilly. The little guy was looking over his shoulder at times in what appeared to be looking for approval from the person who set the example for him to act that way.

Booing Bettman has gotten really old. I know it's kinda expected but give it a rest. Come to think of it booing the opposition during introductions is lame. Booing a certain individual player one feels has committed a questionable offense makes more sense. JMHO.
On another note, seeing the close-up of Marchand after the end, I almost felt bad for him-almost.

For me, the game hinged on the B's not getting a goal in the first period even though they had plenty of good chances. Binnington came up big on the best chances, but he looked less sure on some of the lesser chances and he gave up some big rebounds, but credit to the Blues for clearing those before the B's could get to them. If the B's put one or two of those in the net, his confidence could wane and the ice tilts toward Boston. There was one save where if the B's lift the puck 1 or 2 more inches it is over the right pad and in. If the puck makes it all the way through his armpit, but it didn't. Then again, if a frog had wings, it wouldn't be bumping his butt on the ground all day long. In the end, the Blues' shots found the back of the net, the B's shots didn't.
I kind of hated myself for not being able to hate him in that moment.

O'reilly must have apologized a dozen times for his f bomb during his interview right after the game ended. He seemed so embarrassed it was pretty funny. I think the guy from Sportsnet said "Don't worry, I'm sure we'll hear that a few more times tonight"
Couldn't agree more I get it that back in the day when there was a lockout every couple of years it was kind of mandatory for a hockey fan to boo him, but now it just generally detracts from what are supposed to celebratory moments for players and fans to enjoy. And I swear I'll never call myself a fan of the guy, but he has made some decent moves later in his tenure. Being the first commissioner with the courage to bring a pro team to Vegas will always go a long way for me.

I tend to agree with you. Not a fanboy of his and I know he represents the owners, but geez, look what has transpired under his reign. Successful expansion in non-traditional hockey markets... the game is as popular as it's ever been...last night's Game 7 ratings were the highest in 25 yrs...players are making more money than ever...and the list goes on. And unlike football and other sports...no scandals or hints of impropriety. I know he isn't a born-and-bred hockey guy (he came from the NBA) but there's no doubt he's done a great job for the NHL as far as this hockey fan is concerned. The booing is shameful, IMO.

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but gosh, winning The Cup is not easy. Think back to April when this all started. What a hard road it is. And consider this: The two final teams played virtually an extra quarter season. And as usual, the Buffalo/Niagara region had the highest TV ratings outside the two finalists. We love our hockey even when it isn't us. Just saying.
