NHL Season 2018-19

Welcome back Patrick Hornqvist. Way to take over the game. He's such a hard worker on the ice, so cool to see him in the spotlight.
Tonight happened to be hat night in the arena, how convenient.
The Pens avenge their only loss to a western team this year and finally, after three tries, a Pittsburgh team beats a Denver team. Each time, the Pittsburgh team took the lead, but eventually lost it. Not tonight.
The Pens looked fast tonight, which I wasn't expecting.
I like Pettersson already.
Can't forget that assist from Letang on the Guentzel goal. Beauty, eh?
Bummer though to see the penalty kill streak come to an end.

I'd think you'd approve the trade-off.

Wow, what a rollercoaster of a game. Didn't watch much but checked the score periodically...
3-0 :)
3-3
then boom! 6-3 :hyper:. Way to go Hornqvist!

Agree with you Mike about liking Pettersson already. Looked poised for such a young player in a new situation.

Six goals scored but not one point from 87. In a way, that's a good thing...the team needs someone besides him & Geno to score and set things up.

Florida game was fun to watch, as they shut down the B's.

How about those Flames? Down 4-1 to CBJ, next thing you know they're up 6-4! (Won 9-6)

Watched a bit of the Caps/VGK game...loved seeing Wilson being bounced around by Reaves all night. How about a dose of your own medicine? The thing is, Reaves hit him in the arm & hip area, not the head. And Coach Reirden's comments after the game were laughable, saying Reaves was targeting poor Wilson all night. Wilson's jaw never stopped flapping until he was levelled. Final goal was nice, too.

Okay, credit where credit is due. Pens had a bit of a ceremony after the game, it was beautiful and very moving....

Truly Nova Scotian in all the best ways....

Complaints about Wilson getting targeted? That is a level of hilarity that words cannot convey. I used to watch Wilson play for the Plymouth Whalers and it is a damn shame what that kid grew up to be. My son was trying to decide which knights player jersey he wanted to get me for christmas and he told me this morning that he's getting me a Reaves jersey.

Just like that, the Pens are back in the playoffs, if the season ended today. Which it doesn't, so it's dumb of me to even bring it up.
I attribute the surge to the acquisition of Marcus Pettersson. He's 6'4" and plays like it.
It doesn't hurt having four of the best players in the world on the roster either. :D

One of those four still can't seem to escape trade rumors, though. Came out yesterday that they were listening to a couple of offers for Kessel...again.

No other Penguin frustrates me more than Kessel, with his fear of crashing the net, lack of backchecking, and his numerous bad passes that result in turnovers. But on the other hand, every time that guy shoots the puck you know it's got a good chance to hit the back of the net.
