Another shoot out win for the Caps tonight. Ovie score two more. The dude, at 33 years old, is leading in goals scored and has scored 8 in the last three games. That's beastly.
Somehow the Panthers won tonight. I had a gig so I saw highlights. If me working so I can't watch is what it takes, Bring On The Gigs!

Tough weekend in Boston and to top it off, the B's lost at home this afternoon to Buffalo after tying it late in the 3rd.
Been watching a lot of Jets games lately. A lot to like with this squad, and I'm guessing they'll get deep into the playoffs this season. Fun team to watch.
Calgary is right there too. I can't stand Tkachuk but I do like most of the other guys...Giordano, Monahans, Gaudreau, to name a few. They're scoring in bunches but they're gonna need it as the goaltending is inconsistent at times.
Looks like all Daniel Sprong needed was a change of scenery. He's paying off well for the Ducks after sputtering in a Pens uniform. But I'm still more than satisfied with what's Pettersson is doing on our blue line. Good trade for both teams, and apparently both players, too.
Buffalo continues to impress, and holy crap, the Pens have quietly slid up into third place in their division. Meanwhile in Philadelphia, nothing has changed despite several reports of an impending coaching move.

While I'm not a Hawks fan, that sucks. I like Crawford-always have. Hopefully not too bad.
Realistically, the Hawks' season was over a month ago so losing Crawford for the rest of the year wouldn't make a difference. But the team has a lot of young players with potential and it's plausible the Hawks will be playoff ready in a couple of years.
Hopefully Crawford will be okay, but if I were him I'd take an entire year off from the NHL and concentrate on letting my brain recover fully, while keeping in shape with other, non-contact, low risk activities.
Thankfully, concussions are pretty rare compared to the NFL and some other sports, but once you have one or two, it becomes an increasing risk for serious, life long, health problems.
Yeah. Ask Eric Lindross. You're prolly right about taking a year off. Safer and wiser.
i should have waited a few hours...Hakstol is officially fired, replaced by Scott Gordon on the interim. No word of Quenneville's imminent arrival though. Yet.
The B's are slightly above 1 point per game since Bergeron was injured. The will is there with this team but the talent gap is starting to show more often. The papers are reporting that Bergeron should be back before Christmas. The B's have 4 games before the Christmas break - the second of a back to back with the Habs tonight in Montreal, Ducks at home on Thursday and a weekend back-to-back with Nashville at home on Saturday and travelling to Carolina on Sunday. It would be nice to have Bergeron back for the weekend series and then he would get 3 days off. The team hasn't projected Chara's return yet, but he will be after Bergeron is back.
gawd, I hope they dont get Quenneville, I think he's one of the best coaches of the past few years.
I'd think Coach Q could have his pick of jobs, and not sure he'd want a team with so many nagging issues to start over with. Of course, the good teams aren't dismissing their coaches so perhaps he'd consider the position as best possible scenario available. Their need for a quality GK has been an issue for years, and the lack of one might make anybody think twice about the job. Maybe this Carter Hart guy will be the saviour.
What is going on in Montreal? I'm happy with the B's win, but the team they beat didn't look or play like the Canadiens. The Habs fought the puck and the puck won.
